Originally part of the grounds of Cope Castle, a large Jacobean mansion built in the early 17th century, the estate passed through various noble hands, each leaving their mark on the landscape, transforming it into the public park we love today.
The Kyoto Garden, a gift from the city of Kyoto in 1991, offers a perfect blend of traditional Japanese garden design with the historical British backdrop.
