  • I got another high mile, abandoned, beat up tow lot auction car to flip! Can we fix it up on the cheap and sell it for some profit? Let’s find out! On today’s episode we will see what we get for $700 and what all needs to be done, after inspection we go over what we need and I do an oil change at the same time. This should be an interesting flip.

      Exactly!! lol the crazy thing is that’s on the lower end, but also the car is going to have a lot of work done to it, I’m not just selling it as is in horrible conditions. Thanks for the comment I really appreciate it!!

      they have no scope of the situation . older cars are increasing in value due to modern cars becoming overpriced and even unreliable. Im seeing old pickups from the 1990s with low milage going for top dollar ( even more than when they were brand new)

    • @RattleKanRestoz5280
      @RattleKanRestoz5280  2 месяца назад

      @renj6531 this is very true and a reason why even I stay away from anything over 2010 I just can’t work on them like the older ones and they are overpriced in every aspect, parts, labor, sale price and then the depreciation is ridiculous!!

    Is there any way to test or know if the airbags are in functioning order? If so, how?

    • @RattleKanRestoz5280
      @RattleKanRestoz5280  2 месяца назад +1

      @@sanjivpatel4016 you can always run the vehicles VIN and see if there are any open recalls, otherwise when you start the car, the airbag light on the dash should light up for a few seconds and then shut off, if it doesn’t shut off or it flashes then there is a fault in the airbag system. All vehicles do a system check on initial startup. Hope that helps !

    I worked for Toyota for 14 years,so I've seen it all with these some of the 3 L had oil sludge problems if you didn't change the oil, I hit a 2001 Toyota Camry taking it off the showroom floor about a week later I was backing a big old Sequoia in the shop wasn't paying attention to what I was doing and hit the floor machine that my idiot coworker left over there. I'm surprised I didn't get fired then, the general manager manager like me

      I have a question for you. I have a 2006 base model camry with the 2.4L it leaks coolant but I can’t tell from where. I’ve replaced the radiator, and the water pump has been replaced twice but yet it still leaks. It does not leak from the thermostat because I see no leaks or residue and I do know that it’s not mixing with the oil. Any thoughts?

    • @RattleKanRestoz5280
      @RattleKanRestoz5280  2 месяца назад +1

      @@junior17medval it could be leaking into the combustion chamber and getting burned up, you can do a block test, buy a block tester from Amazon it’s fairly inexpensive. Also try pressure washing your engine bay and that should help you with getting a better view of the leak and where it’s coming from. Hope this helps!

      @@wl6020 You dont know this car then, Toyota Camrys 2002-2006 were rust proofed by the factory. Only of you let it sit in salt and never wash the car will it rust. or never touch up body damage. In New York, you can not pass inspection with more than 1 emission monitor not ready..These cars have constant CEL's after 230K , now if you are in a easy emission state then you are okay. In NY your cat, evap have to be okay. The car cant be dripping oil everywhere on inspection. Better to buy a used one at 112K to 160K not anything more than that.
