I would just LOVE for Tori to be inspired (and I think she was) to participate in more of this kind of stuff. Just look at how much fun she is having during the jam session; I think it would be so beneficial for her to start stretching into these areas with some different people and see what happens. She seemed so inspired by the making of art as opposed to commercial music, and I loved her comment: "This has come at the right time" - I hope this plants a seed for her future development.

She isn't totally new to these techniques...as you recall, "Bells For Her" was a prepared piano. And those bass piano notes in "Space Dog" are muted piano strings. But let's hope she wants to experiment again.

"This has come at the right time"...hearing this was bittersweet. I feel that Tori has minimized health issues the past few years not wanting many to worry. She may have had to endure some kind of horrendous fight but from what we can see in the jam session, she's won. She's an inspiration; beautiful, strong, and in control. Been a fan since "Little Earthquakes". She'll have my support no matter what creative turn she takes.

It is fascinating to watch these two together. I had no previous knowledge of Hauschka before this aired, I find his craft to be exciting. have loved Tori Amos since I was a boy.

Oh watching this was heaven. Getting to just hang out in the world of so many different artists and then the jam session. Shoe shopping AND Piano shopping with Tori. And Hauschka is fascinating! Thanks for uploading this.

I found this so inspiring. It reminds me how mainstream music, fashion and so on is all so dull. Only when you look beyond the typical can you find something truelly wonderful and inspiring. Also great to hear Tori being interviewed under a different setting than the normal chat show host who doesn't always understand her, if you know what I mean. Also loved Hauschka's prepared piano... definitely going to look that up! Thankyou so much for posting this :)

What an awesome video!! The Jam Session was my favorite part :-) and also the part where tori got all excited to play the bose with all the little gadgets attached :-) like a child thinking "can i have a go??" lol that was awesome

I agree - it would be so interesting to see Tori explore new collaborations and settings for her creations. The classical record, I hope, freed her from the constant drive to be commercial. In the video she spoke about her musical isolation. It would be great to see her open up and be part of a musical community again - a matriarch of sorts. She's earned it. It was great seeing her jamming and having a good time and being inspired, minus all the costumes and characters.

I’m so jealous of the camera, I wish I was there fallowing every minute of that wonderful encounter between such talented musicians. It’s great to see Tori like never before: improvising, laughing and for the first time I saw her reacting to the name: Bjork. I’m still hoping one day they will meet up and compose something together, it would be good to get those two wheels turning.

    16:19 - instant Tori gold.
Wish she'd just cut loose and release something like an album of improvs - through her website perhaps. If she could just get that fragile fiery vitality on record again.

Seeing this in 2023…I wonder if Tori has broken any of her heels playing piano?! I just want to own one of her high heels! I also thought the convo about the clothing & her asking him if he’d be “a tomboy type gal” was pretty funny. I wish people could see clothing as a form of artistic expression, real genuine self-expression rather than it being “male clothing” or “female clothing”. I wish people didn’t focus so much on female/male and instead would see clothing & other objects as having no gender. Most clothing is so boring, appealing to the masses instead of it being truly/genuinely about self-expression. Anyway, love Tori so much!

Tori is light years ahead of all these artists. The painter is lame and I’ve heard much better prepared piano players/pieces. Tori is being polite because she’s used prepared piano here and there since Under the Pink.
