There's an old saying - and I don't know how true it is - that British tank strategy is "we'll get there when we get there" and based off their naval strategy, which is why even their MBTs are a bit slower than the rest, but very well armored.

You could mount an over barrel grenade on the 15cm gun of the Sturmpanzer that has a higher velocity which delivers like 50kg of explosives 😨
It’s a 230mm mortar spigot for destroying buildings like the sturmtiger, except housed and able to be reloaded inside the turret. A mortar having low velocity shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone

@@Tien-ChiIt actually wasn't able to be reloaded from inside the tank. First they had to swing the mortar over the back of the tank, then the loader would pop out of a hatch and reload the mortar in a similar way that you would a break-action shotgun, except that it flipped up instead of down.

And there **EXISTS** a Churchill AVRE with an actual 165mm Demolition gun that has some decent range and good armour. Way better addition than the Petarded direction Gaijin went.
I'm sure some pro players are going to excel with this, the armour is after all amazing for 2.7. But why they made the reload so terribly long when IRL footage shows that it could be done in less than 12 seconds, baffles me.
I'd rather it had a 10-12 second reload and was placed at 3.3.

Because they specifically named it as Churchill AVRE Petard, maybe there is possibility we will got the one with 165mm gun similar to Centurion AVRE in the future.
AVRE stands for Armored(or assault) Vehicle Royal Engineers
those vehicles were used by british combat engineers, obviously for demotion of fortified positions
@@Parkourboy86 and Petard is the name of the mortar fitted on it. there is also later Post-WW2 variant with 165mm L9 gun, similar as the one on Centurion AVRE and this is what I'm referring to.

The downside of spigot mortar system, the insane high trajectory it needs to launch anything while packing heavy loads (in this case, a Petard 230mm round).
Same thing for the PIAT AT launcher and, as said by Ian "Gun Jesus" McCollum on Forgotten Weapons, rearming such system due to miss fire (on PIAT) was almost impossible on the field while a combat scenario was going on.
The very same projectile launch rearms the spigot, so with a miss/malfunction, you had to do that manually...(and he showed how to do that, while not fully rearm the spigot's spring)
Shame i'm missing this tank but...eh fair trade for some sanity and health while dealing with home and work stuffs.

opponent max BR will be 3.7 and the bomb you drop can deal with most of them

It's purpose was to breach fixed defenses so pretty pointless for a vehicle on vehicle game! If it was simply added to the tech tree it might be fun to use occasionally but to have to grind an entire event for it? Just an oddity for utubers to make vids about!
