    These trails are wicked. Incredible amount of work put in and like you said, this only is going to get better! Big kudos to everyone involved and St Thomas cycles for all they have done to make this a reality. 🤟

    The panting, haha, can't say I would sound much different. It does the job helping me understand the effort you are putting into your ride! Cant wait ro get out and gasp like a fish out of water myself, soon. Our trails should be good and ready next week.

    Love having trails within riding distance. Bought a space 10 minutes from the base of Rush in North Bay. Yeah, riding up sucks, but being so close is great! Get a shuttle sometimes too!

      Hey there, I grew up in North Bay! I remember those trails! I haven’t been up riding in the Bay for a while:(. we owned the boarding kennels on Main West and then I used to live on Macbeth Crescent right at the base of the ski hill pretty much. I miss it. Have fun in those trails!!

    I went on this trail for the first time in July 2024 and definitely an improvenment vs. the video. St. Thomas really has improved, and I only went on the green MTB trail.I had to go twice as It was fun. 😀 Whew! That blue trail looks fun, and more longer. I'll have to ride this one the next time I'm in St. Thomas with my mountain bike . Thanks for sharing this video 🚴‍♂

    Give it some time and ride it a bunch you can tie one step forward to lost and found to Lighting strikes to here today gone tomorrow then back up two steps back. The climb trail gets easier as you find the gear and line and honestly the whole place gets faster the more you ride it and find the lines. I climbed that trail 7x last night and if it wasn't for me having to get back home I would have done a few more. It's a great start and we need more riders to break it in.

    I have recently moved to St Thomas so this is great to see! I used to ride out west in Banff and Golden BC area when I worked at resorts. I loved every second of it! But a back injury with 3 protruding disks impinging on my nerves kinda ended my riding days for a while.
    Feeling like I needed to get back out there on the trails I recently purchased an entry level Marin Bolinas Ridge 1. I was just wondering what kind of community of riders there is here in St Thomas?? I heard you live close to these trails in the video and I’d be super interested in guidance to some cool trails in the area!

    • @ToogyHowser
      @ToogyHowser  2 месяца назад +1

      Hey welcome to St. Thomas! it's going to be VERY different riding than what you are used to in BC!! pretty flat overall. If you haven't already I'd walk in to St. Thomas Cycles and chat with Cody & Fred there, they are part of the team that have built these trails in town. If you want to ride more challenging stuff you have to drive at least an hour unfortunately, places like The Pines in Woodstock & The Hydrocut in Kitchener are pretty decent for Ontario trails. To get anything close to BC trails you'd have to go to Northern Ontario or Quebec.

      @@ToogyHowser awesome! Thank you for the great advice. I figured that’d be the case and I don’t mind travelling around to find those hidden gems! Don’t think I’ll be ready to go all out off the bat anyway so it’s great to know there’s some chill trail systems to practice.

      I'm not 100% sure what they are planning there but I know they are currently building a new flow trail that looks sick! Not sure if there will be any jumps or drops though, would be cool if there was though!
