Nanda Devi East is mighty and still a dream for many mountaineers. My first attempt is scheduled to start on 15th September 2022. I'm very eagerly looking for it. Very excited for it.
The normal route up Sunanda Devi doesn't enter the sanctuary but just skirts along the rim. Nanda Devi main summit remains closed but permits for Sunanda Devi can be obtained through the IMF.
Base camp and intermediate camp everything is covered in snow, including Longstuff's col also.. that means ur team went during winter.. We climbed Longstuff's col in 2024. Once i should climb Nanda Devi east... It's my dream. This is a very inspiring video.. Thanks ji ❤️❤️
Hey I was so disheartened by the loss of Martin and his fellow teammates. The news of the incident struck me with a great shock. Glad that you guys made it back safe and sound. When will you be coming back to Nanda Devi East? just curious ;)
@@sup0ds Yes Nanda Devi is closed to climbers but our expedition was to Sunanda Devi / Nanda Devi East. It is open to climbers with the proper permit ✌️
Same mountain where USA placed a plutonium device to spy on Chinese nuclear progress, however as per official report it was lost somewhere in the nanda devi mountain
@@rudolphteperberry3888 doesn't really make sense to ban the main peak and allow adjacent one 2km away. same with Kanchenjunga. People literally climb from Nepal side but not from Sikkim.
@@praveenkanshi8458 There has been only one ascent thus far from the Sikkim side, lead by Bull Kumar. That too not without serious casualties. Its mighty, mighty tough route. I am not sure if its banned from Sikkim side. It's just that the North East face is really scary and extremely avalanche prone. Unless - an objective to climb only via that route, the Nepalese route is safer, well documented and supported all the way to base camp via Heli(Ugh!)
She is always mighty and beautiful 🏔️❤️❤️ my dream mountain to climb and it will be my first 7000ers after my AMC next year sep, 2024 will climb 🧗♀️ my 2022 plan is cancelled due.
@@travellermani3337 I don't know but I expect it will be cheaper if you're based in India. If you have a climbing team together, it might be a good idea to contact an expedition outfitting company like those listed on the IMF website. They can give you a quote for getting you and your team and all your equipment to base camp. www.indmount.org/IMF/contentDisplayTour
Glad you like the vid! Unfortunately 8 of our friends were killed in an avalanche on a nearby unclimbed peak, so we abandoned our summit attempt. A Polish team were a couple weeks behind us on Nanda Devi East and some of their members reached the summit. We're hoping to go back for another attempt.
@@rudolphteperberry3888 Hi Rudolf, I was a member of Polish expedition. Magic Lawan valley and the NDE south ridge are still in my mind... There is much more snow on Longstaff Col and the pinnacles on your attempt than we experienced. Our thoughts are with your friends. Marcin
@@marcingaus3065 Yes even by the time we were descending there was significantly less snow than in the video. Amazing effort by your team. Congratulations! Thanks for thinking of us.
@@marcingaus3065 Hey Marcin, Congratulation on your summit. Am looking for some more info on the route and etc. If there is any chance we can have a talk ? @rudolph Am sorry for the loss of your friends. Sending love and peace!

Only those can climb whom the devi wants to do so. It's the most auspicious peak in uttarakhand and regarded as one of the most prominent devi 🙏.

Idk why we humans disturb the goddess (which is the Nature) by constantly trying to penetrate it
May be in search for peace which is abandoned in the new era
We are already doing that. Look at the mess we have created everywhere in the world.
Returning to your creator mother is not wrong
