It's funny, my mother also sang it to us when we were children. And Alba Armengou also said, in a concert of her quartet that I attended live a year ago, that her grandmother also sang it for her. It must have been very popular in its time.
Andrea sings it with exquisite taste and feeling, like Alba in that concert. Randy also has style, but with too much American pronunciation and accent (logical, after all).

This song has been around a long time (not quite 100 years, but getting close). There's lots of versions out there, Nat King Cole had a popular one, which Andrea alludes to. Linda Ronstadt and many others have also recorded it. This version is very nice, thanks for the post, Roman.

I heard this song sung live by Alba Armengou a year ago in Madrid and I wouldn't know which one to choose between Andrea and her. Perhaps Alba sings it a little more naturally. In fact, I think maybe Alba makes everything more natural. 😉

@@ArturoBeramendi1704 I'd love to hear Alba sing it. Randy doesn't do so much for me on this one, although I like him on other songs.

@@chanelops Your wishes are orders, my friend... 😉
This is the concert they gave just the day after the one I attended in the Sala Clamores in Madrid. And they played exactly the same repertoire... "Muñequita Linda" included. From 31:30 to 35:20. Enjoy it. ruclips.net/video/GKVTv7j9DVY/видео.html

@@ArturoBeramendi1704 Oye, es que me estoy volviendo viejo, o es decir, mas viejo! I actually had watched that show when they first posted it, and there's a comment from me dated back a year ago. But I had just forgotten all about it - thanks for reminding me!

@@chanelops Suele ocurrir, son cosas de la edad ... 😂. Sometimes it happens to me that I make two differents comments on the same video several months apart, because I didn't even remember that I had already seen and commented on it. And the worst thing is that on some occasions they are totally contrary to each other!... Finally, resignation...

Beautiful. I had this on. repeat for the past 2 and a half hours. It's such a sweet sound.. sweet deep meaning into the song. I never knew there was music like this that have existed for so long.
I recently lost my best friend.. she was really someone I truly loved. The loss is unbearable and doing my best to bear thru the suffering nobly. Then this pops out in my feed. Hearing Andrea once again after a while of not hearing her voice.. Mr. Randy reminds me of Nat Kind Cole. I researched the song in english... it was just so perfectly said on how I feel for my best friend.. my sister.. to whom I'm always going to love...
"And sometimes I hear a divine echo
wrapped in the breeze that seems to say:
"Yes, I love you very much,
    very, very, very much,
as much as I did then, always, until I die".
Always and Forever. Thank you for sharing this song, video, piece of masterpiece. And to the band... I hope someday I can watch this live. I'll figure it out. Stay living and keep making this beautiful music. Thank you for warming my heart despite it all. This means so much
