HOLY SH* T. Qrow's change in personality scared me a bit, and his emotional break-down about Summer Rose & what was left to her by (Ruby Rose) is very powerful sh*t, not to mention his felt of betrayal from Ironwood was speechless.
I see Qrow as one of those characters that's really hard to piss off but when you do not even the angels of heaven can protect you from his wrath.

the fuck you on? qrow had no attachment to summer, and never broke down from her death...that was taiyang broke down, because tai was summer's husband,....get your AU right, idiot. this artist is so obsessed with qrow that they tear apart the entire show and Summer's family to make it one where the only person in summer's life is qrow, and not her big family...

What I love the most about this is that Qrow is 100% justified to be angry in this. I hate how in the vast majority of media, if a character is angry then no matter what they say or do they are always in the wrong because they got angry.

I think what makes it better is that this it portrayed everyone else at fault. While Qrow isn't happy, he is definitely fine or content with his current state of being; drinking every other minute and keeping to himself mostly. Its not the greatest state to be in sure but it something he chose to do and is sticking by the only important person in his life when she calls around. Its everyone else who at fault since they keep bringing it up. While it sad Winter doesn't have her own feelings reciprocated, she was the one that struck the nerve. She brought up the tragedy and she was the one that pursued it to it hypersensitive conclusion.
While not really at fault for how she acted, Iron is also responsible for not respecting his former friend enough to just let it go and in giving out sensitive information. Qrow's anger is completely justified on against both character and for entirely different reasons. Sure, its not nice to lash-out at people like that but its also not nice to treat that friend as though they are doing something inherently wrong by their choice of lifestyle.

If it turns out that Qrow really is Ruby's father, then I imagine there would be a scene very similar to this. With Qrow's Semblance of Misfortune, he CAN'T be around Ruby, for her own protection. The closer he gets to her, the more danger she'll be in.
and in the show qrow and winter apparrently like each other...since qrow leers frequently at barmaids and happily talks about innkeepers skirt lengths
so no...this artist destroys other characters and scripts for the sake of a ship....poor writing.
and qrow is frequently around both ruby and yang, and is welcome in tai's house...chibi especially...so I don't believe this artist researched the show..romance novels, yes...but this is not what happens in the show....qrow is repeatedly around other people...also, he has many friends...so this "my semblance is tragic" does not affect his playboy love life....there is no way tai would let qrow train ruby if qrow's semblance was that bad.
also qrow trained ruby because ruby was no good at martial arts, which is what tai teaches.

the lines in this comic remind me how badly the characters need to be ruined and rewritten in order for this ship to have a chance.
since Qrow is able to train Ruby, spend time with Team RWBY, and spend time in the household of Taiyang and Summer, the two people who lived together raising Ruby and Yang, this artist clearly twisted and distorted everyone's characters and the show itself to make everyone extremely out of character, from tai, to raven, to qrow, and even winter...
this is NOT rwby...this is original fanfiction that is completely unlike the show.

This is by far the most deep and real interpretation of qrow I've ever seen. One that makes sense and goes beyond any of the cutesy bullshit of the ships and goes with an actual story. A truly broken man who refuses to give up as long as his daughter is there. It's truly a spectacular interpretation of how a mature and real person might react with a personality like qrow.

The situation is more deep
Qrow is fighting to survive but one slip up and he is done for, Remember what happened the fight with Terian.
For winter she is a young mature lady but over caring and carelessness without thinking of yourself can get you killed by the grim or your enemies, losing focus is not good.
Thing with Winter is that she´s probably not trained to have a longtime team bound post graduation from Atlas´s academy and she stuck on solo missions, with Qrow it´s the oposite, he stuck for the team, until the team broke apart and left him.

ignoring everything that happened in the show, trashing the script, rewrriting qrow's personality, and reducing summer to a trash character whose sole purpse is to get knocked up by qrow and die....with taiyang she had far more depth....

It's a nice idea but it's not what happened in the show and you need to accept that this is not in any way the bird boy that you're obsessed with
I find this comic dub to be really good. Love the voice actors, the emotional acting, and the plot twist. If rooster teeth made rwby episodes that reveal ruby is actually qrow's daughter instead of taiyang, I would accept it in a heartbeat. I would figure their use in scythe weapons and ruby's idealistic view of him would indicate a connection of a family relation
This actually breaks my heart and to that see Qrow falling apart and I do believe he was in love with Summer. But, there's is one more thing that still makes me believe that his semblance is a one big factors as why summer rose is dead. Lastly, as many people like him who has a loved one everyone grieves differently and the constant drinking and fighting is not a healthy choice but it's Qrow's. I pray that it doesn't take his life in end and hope he finds his happiness and maybe it's winter that will his heart open up to. It's okay to fall love in again.

Four minutes of "Wtf is even going on" and all of a sudden Qrow has a freaking psychotic meltdown for the next five... What in the heck did I just watch?
And then two minutes later the meltdown begins again... what in the actual... Oh, and also, I'm not liking how this defies canon facts here...
Qrow being drunk? check. arguing with Winter? check. arguing with Ironwood? check. Claiming the not yet proven not quite unprovable yet theory that Ruby is Qrow's daughter? check. Qrow being protective of Ruby?
like the entire second half of the last season. there's no given reason for this to be kept secret in the video. We don't know enough about Winter to say she might not secretly like Qrow. Ironwood not being totally surprised when Qrow attacks him? fall of beacon fight. The closest thing to an inconsistency is Ironwood giving out personal info that is supposed to be kept secret, but in that last season from his talks with Mr. Schnee we know he appears much more humanized and fallible than the near emotionless general type character in earlier seasons. not a canon comic, but certainly not breaking any established rules that aren't already being questioned, namely, Ruby's parental situation. am I missing something here, because I'm always happy to correct any information I've gotten wrong
-Rooster Teeth said, specifically, that Qrow is Ruby's uncle, not father. Not only is the theory a low-baller, it's already been officially debunked. Anything beyond that is complete distrust to the creators of RWBY.
-Next up, I do agree that there's no canon evidence that Winter should be seeking romance with Qrow, but the squabbles we DO see between them does beg the question, I'll give you that.
-Ironwood being attacked? Ehhhhhh not sure where to go with that.
-As for Ironwood giving out personal information? Not so likely if Cinder had to hack into Ironwoods scroll to get anything at all, even if it WAS critical information in terms of Beacon's fall. If anything, however, the conversations between him and Jacques only further the reasoning that Ironwood acts, ultimately, to keep everyone out of harms way.

Now besides that it's still fun to speculate that there maybe some secrets and you know writers and authors so a lot of times give out not false information but white lies lets say to not ruin future surprises to their viewers or readers.
It would be like planning a surprise party for someone but telling them that they are getting a surprise party its just ruins or is not as grand of a thing when it happens.
However everyone is definitely entitled to their own thoughts and opinions so do take everything i have stated with a grain of salt. I do not wish to offend or argue i just wish to add my opinion
Ah yeah, you're one of those that I did design requests for. While I get that you say we shouldn't necessarily trust Rooster Teeth in the matter, let me just correct you an the analogy...
Suppose you ARE gong to throw a surprise party. You slip the information to the friend, but you don't tell them WHEN it is, so it's still going to be a surprise no matter what. This leaves the friend in suspense and, of course will hate you for it, but the tension is still there. That being said, its really not as good of an analogy as you might think.
I would think you would rather compare it to false advertising, which speaks for itself, really... Even so, if I had to guess, the theory could very well be connected to the Enabler ship, if you think about it. If Qrow WERE Ruby's dad, it would make Ruby and Yang cousins rather than sisters, thus lessening the severity of the ship (though it still makes it pretty bad anyways). I'm no conspiracy theorist, but I really wouldn't overlook the possibility, given the fandom we're dealing with here...

Yo... friggin props to the voice actors. From Winter, to Ironwood, especially Qrow... I don't particularly like this theory that Qrow is Ruby's dad but you fucking sold it. Even without the voice acting I would have been hit by the emotions. The voice acting just ensured it. Amazing. I love the "guardian from afar" thing Qrow has going on. The only thing that was kinda off for me was Winter being OOC but it worked all the same.
They took RWBY off of Netflix. My heart is shattered.

Dang. My compliments to both you, the artist, and the voice actors. This comic really would explain some of the plot-holes in cannon, such as Winter's dislike of Qrow, his dislike of her and Ironwood, and his genuine affection for Ruby, not just as an uncle, but as a father. Stuff like this makes me wish that Hummingbird (QrowxSummer) was a real thing
One thing that bothers me is all this shipping of Qrow and Winter. I am glad you made it clear that he only loved summer and no one else. Good job and keep up the good work.

I will never get over how intense this comic is and how deep of Astoria can really be if it was Canon I have to give credit where credit if do the voice actors in This comic is amazing I hope they moved on to bigger and better projects since this, comic is a few years old now but still they did an amazing job

the moment this theory came up, Yang's speech to Blake in V2 was completely ignored....Ruby's conversation with penny about taiyang being a loving but overprotective father? ignored.
ruby's speech to summer about taiyang's feelings for summer, but saying nothing about qrow? ignored.
and let's not forget that Raven was neither a good mother nor a good wife, fleeing the team...this comic ignores that.
Let's also remember qrow leering at the tavern maid after she flirted with him, talking at length about the innkeeper's skirt length, winking at winter twice?
this artist believes that qrow loved summer and summer alone, yet qrow has shown interest in MANY women...even taiyang mentioned it in V4.
So these comics completely ignore the entire script altogether.
They also trash taiyang and winter...
I get it, shipping comics trash other characters to make their ship work...but why do they have to ruin so much of the story for the sake of one ship?

They also re write personalities and re write how things work and how people have acted.
If you read my earlier comments on how they rep messed it up....
You'll see that this Maybe a nice little romance story but it is in no way a representation of bird boy as this is not his personality and this is not him and this is not Winter either.
As I said this comic tears off the script destroys the story for the sole purpose of a ship that will never be canon...

I really hope to an extent the concept that Ruby is secretly Qrow's daughter ends up being canon. It would kinda make sense considering how close they are and if Qrow is killed off will add well to the show's story and drama

I still don't get how people can say that Qrow DEFINATELY isn't Rubys dad. I know there is this whole thing about a member of CRWBY denying the theory, but what would you do if someone confronted you with a reveal you had planned in the future at a panel? Confirm it and ruin the moment in advance or lie about it? Plus, its not the first time a member of CRWBY lied to us, seeing how the VA of Pyrrha claimed that she was done with the role back when Pyrrha died in the show, yet continously returns to voice her in Chibi and has voiced her for the recording of Pyrrha that Jaune trains to in Volume 4.
it would make so much sense from a narrative standpoint with him not being able to be close to her often because of his semblance, how Tai begrudingly agrees to let him have a word with her more or less immediately after she woke up post - fall of beacon and before her supposed father gets to speak more than a small handful of words with her, Ruby sharing a much stronger bond with Qrow than with Tai, the lyric "you don't want the burden of my name" in his theme song "bad luck charm" (though admitably, that could be about summer as well),... and while it might be a bit predictable, it would make for one hell of a gut punch regardless if it were to be confirmed in the show under the right circumstances.
I have a feeling Qrow is Ruby true father playing the role of an uncle in order for his semblance to not effect his daughter.
This is about how I would react in this situation, and I'm willing to bet that many other people would as well. Qrow's va did an amazing job here! He did a fantastic job, and this comic was so great that I really hope this becomes cannon!

That was deep like it shouldn't be fan fic, I accidently clicked on the video but once it started going now onto depth I couldn't turn away from it, the fact that it was just a fan fic kinda tears me up a bit. The theory that Qrow’s semblance killed Summer, that I did like, and I’m sad that one was disproved, especially since what we got instead us so boring and predictable.
The passion in the voice acting, the story itself, the way they portrayed Qrow's snapping point. This is a work. Of. ART!!!

Near end with James and Qrow: 'shudders' if there had been color, it would have been even more terrifying to experience. James should have known better than to pry into things he shouldnt. That was kept secret for a reason. What he did, just inadvertently placed a great big death warrant on Ruby's head.
I actually saw this comic a while back and it truly struck a cord with me. After my mom died from cancer, my dad basically shut himself in and it was like walking on eggshells with him. No he never drank, but he did have bouts where he would explode. Looking back on it now, losing the love of your life is rather earth shattering but that still does not make it right. At least, live for those you all care for. Good job on the video.

this honestly should be in the show. it gives so much depth to everyone’s character. volume 5 tried, but volume 5 failed. this however, didn’t.

This is great. :) Personally I'm a fan of "Qrow being Ruby's dad theory" though I'm also chill if he really ends up just being her Uncle in the end to.
Either way this was very well done with the voice acting especially on the person doing Qrow's part putting so much emotion and getting so into it. :D
Admittedly it was very OOC at times which could somewhat take me out of it a bit but of course this is a fan work and it's to be expected that would happen but regardless it was still a very well done fan work in the end and I look forward to others you may produce in the future. :)
(Random note: Also side note I've been a dunce for a while and thinking STRQ (Stark) was pounced "Strong" for some reason despite hearing it be called that in the show. *Face palm* I suppose I haven't heard it said enough in the show to make the info stick so my brain doesn't read it wrong after words. .///.' )
