Great video man! Thank you so much instant like and sub 💯👍
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the kind words!
Ditto, Mateo! Thanks, Mr. Maker.
Very helpful! Thank you!!!
Super easy to install, thanks so much! I installed my pi and my father's pi within minutes.
Glad it was an easy process for you!
What a great tutorial! Raspberry Pi Imager makes things so easy, I should have used this to install Octoprint!
Glad you liked it! I should make a video on Octoprint!
appreciate it!
very helpful
Sheesh luv the vid kuddos to you!
You're quite welcome! Thanks for watching!
Liked and subbed 👍
Thanks so much for making this video. Very concise and thorough. The pi website with the 45 second video didn't make it clear enough for me and I kept doing it wrong.
You're quite welcome! Glad the video helped!
When my family moves into a new house and has the internet set up, I'll be connecting a PiHole to the router. This'll definitely help in the process.
Fantastic video, subbed and will likely ask lots of questions (if you reply to this one lol)
Really usefull for biginners thank you and ctrl+shift+X have not worked any alternate method ?
Thank you for taking the time creating this video. I appreciate it.
I am currently working on a project with LE Potato and am hoping this process works with non-Raspberry Pi SBC's as well. Have you put the OS on any other SBC's? I am only looking to emulate the SNES and NES systems. My only concern is the SBC I am using has 2GB of ram
Thanks!
No problem! Thank you for the tip!
Nice Update. Raspberry Pi Imager has come along way in making it so much easer to get started. Thanks for the info
Glad to help!
after i flash it with the OS, can i put a i put images onto sd card and install them to pi using pi OS?
What if the target device selector does not include the intended SD card?
It’s the little smile at the end for me!! Absolutely precious 🩷
I have a doubt did installing raspberry pi os on laptop format your laptop instantly, Google says that, that's why I m confused, please reply
For this session only?
My question is I probably won't need a large size SD card unless I want to build a gaming machine, right?
In the off chance ya see this I was curious, do I have to put it on the SD card if I bought an SD card with Raspberry Pi OS already on it? It's a silly question it's just I've encountered an issue where if I don't see a greenlight flashing on the box it means that the SD card is either faulty or improperly flashed. And I don't want to get into an issue with Vilros over my own ignorance.
Thanks and God bless ya man
Just saw this. Unfortunately, in my experience, the pre-formatted cards you can buy with Raspbian / Raspberry Pi OS already on them are hit and miss as to if they actually boot. I usually have to format and reinstall when using those cards.
@@ThemakersworkbenchSorry for asking again so late but the Vixos one also came with a thing for the SD card. Any issues with those too?
Which os better for facial recognition I am using pi model 3b+ and for display purpose I am going to interface with my laptop
My laptop version is 64 it
Consider checking out Open CV for facial recognition. pypi.org/project/opencv-python/
hey, i'm using Raspberry Pi model 3b+ right now. I did all the following, but i cannot seems to operate it. Any suggestion to fix this?
which part you cant do?
I canno🎉t watch youtube videos on my raspberry pi as it is too slow. Can you advice?
Instead of using the imager, we could just download the os of choice and use etcher right?
This is also the first time I've heard about needing to create a text file to use wifi. Doesn't it just ask for the network wifi password when first starting up?
If you are using Raspberry Pi Desktop, then yes, the first run wizard will take care of that. If you are running headless, or chose the option in Raspberry Pi Imager to disable the first run wizard, then setting up Wifi and SSH via the advanced settings menu, is the best way to enable those features. Thanks for watching!

When I install raspberry pi os on my 64gb Samsung SD-card it creates a new drive called "boot" which 252 mb of space, while making the rest of the sd card unusable (clicking the actual sd card drive in windows library tells you to format it). Is it meant to be like this or is something wrong?
Yes it's supposed to be that way. The boot partition is what triggers the raspberry pi os to begin booting up when you power up your pi. You can't access the other partition anymore because it has the linux file system on it. You can install a program on your windows machine called Ext2 Volume Manager and it will allow you to access the file system if you need to.
Can we use this method for pi4 2gb??
Yes
is my pc usually supposed to bluescreen upon completing the verifying portion
That is definitely not supposed to happen. I've never had that happen after flashing a card before. I would make sure your windows install and all USB drivers are up to date. Then update RPi Imager if it's out of date and try again.
ctrl shift s does not work
After I erase the SD card and proceed to write the OS on to the card, it says “Writing…0%” for about two minutes, then says “Error writing to storage”. I’ve tried 3 different SD cards. What am I doing wrong?
I'm having the same problem. Did you ever find a solution of this? I'm running windows 10 with BitDefender.
Also left the wireless LAN country as Great Britain, but that's okay.,
I just flash it with the ISO on balenaetcher, faster
Okay, i don't know if its the laptop i tried flashing it on or if the video is out of date but now it's working worse than before. I cant even update it, it just spews out errors.
It works fine for me. Just tested with the latest release.
@@Themakersworkbench Tried it again and it's working fine now. Sorry for pestering ya
@@gasmonkey1000 No worries, I flash Pi's a few times a month, so when I saw your comment, I had to check for myself.
Not download now
BRUH CAN I HAVE A VIDEO LINK FOR HEADLESS SETUP
I really dislike the "please like and subscribe" kind of thing, but in this instance I did without hesitation. Absolutely great tutorial. Grand job!
