I agree the Loops and Threads chenille is awful. I made one plushy out of it and never again. I love the new Big Twist Posh. It’s amazing.
I've been wanting to try that!
The POSH rocks!

The cow I made on my channel I made with the Walmart Mainstay cozy chenille yarn and I was IMPRESSED! The best I have tried in a long time! Thanks for your honest review!!❤ and what a find on the clovers!!! That is such a treasure 😊
I will have to pick that up some time! Thanks for watching 🩷
I LOVE my white mainstay chenille yarn! I just wish they made more colors!!! I have been spoiled by its quality and I’m so nervous to spend money on other brands!!
I LOVE my white mainstay chenille yarn! I just wish they made more colors!!! I have been spoiled by its quality and I’m so nervous to spend money on other brands!!
@@amyyy___ yes! I have white and gray!! And I agree. We need more colors cause it is an excellent chenille
Wow, that chenille yarn is beautiful but CRAZY! I can see how disappointing it would be. I appreciate the demonstration. Your peach yarn is so pretty too. Peach Fuzz is the Pantone color of the year so you are definitely on trend with that! Hope you’re doing well ❤
It's so soft but NOT worth the shedding and frustration!
And I had no idea about peach fuzz! Love it!
I'm doing pretty good! Hope you are too my friend 🩷
I also bought the light peach from hobby lobby, and I've started a hat for our only preemie and our only red head ! The color is going to be so cute on her ! I definitely need to speed it up and get it done. I want her to wear it while its cold !! And the color orange has been not a favorite color of mine but for some reason, its been growing on me lately !! I'm planning to get some and incorporate it into my work this year !
I bet it will be adorable with the red hair! ❤️🩷
Thanks for the honest review. Glad I saw this before I bought any. Appreciate you. The strawberry cow is darling!! I love all things strawberry. 🍓 The book you got with all the 4-leaf clovers is amazing!!! What a cool find. And I agree. It’s so fun to wonder about the people and circumstances of who had that book and would have put them in there. Thanks for sharing!!
You're welcome! Thanks so much for watching! 🥰
I love to find 4 leaf clovers. I have them pressed in a lot of books! One time I found 32 in the same patch of grass!😮 Also I have a few 5 and 6 leaf clovers. Thank you for your yarn review.
32?! That’s insane!
It was such fun surprise! 32!?!? That's amazing!
Thank you for watching!
I really like " I love this yarn " brand. The peach is so pretty. Thanks as always for the blessing! ❤
It's definitely one of my favorite brands! And you are so welcome ✝️🩷
A trick I found is to separate the strings tie them in a knot. Because the shedding lint everywhere was horrible. But bought the yarn needed to find a way to use it.😂😂😂
😂
Bought five balls and returned them to Michael’s… is ridiculous that they sell this. Worst yarn ever and is so difficult to weave in ends. They are slowly getting rid of all yarn competitors in store to exclusively sell their ‘LOOPS AND THREADS’ brand… yet they are obviously not being intentional with how it’s manufactured.
I forgot to mention how hard it is to weave in the ends with this yarn. It was awful! I really hope they start listening to their customers and make some changes! Thanks for watching!
I don’t like Loops n Threads yarn at all. The worsted weight yarn splits so bad. Michael’s really need to offer more quality yarn brands.
The first Chenille yarn i ever bought was loops and threads, and it was so awful that i thought making plushies wasn't for me. Then i tried bernat blanket, and my mind changed 😅
I'm so glad you tried a different yarn! I would have felt the same way!
I really appreciate your review on the yarn. I keep looking at it cause i see alot of the amigurumi heavy channels use it alot but i wondered how bad it would shed and you answered my questions
You're welcome! Thanks for watching 🩷
Thank you! About to buy some chenille for plushies, so this was very helpful! Love the 4-leaf clovers. What a great find!! Fun to wonder about. 🍀😊
You're welcome! And yes it was a fun surprise!
I was looking at the Loops and Threads chenille as I only have access to Michael’s. I gently pulled the end of yarn and was shocked at the amount of fluff that came off! I checked others from the yarn aisle and it resulted in me not buying any. I know it is more expensive to order other brands online but the quality is so poor in their chenille brands. Thanks for your review! I will check their quality again in a few months. Could be a bad batch.
I really hope they will work to improve this yarn. It would be a great option if it weren't for the shedding!
You put together an informative and helpful video! Thanks for the heads up!
Thank you! 🩷
My friend bought loops and thread med 4 acrylic yarn for me to make her a blanket. I have never had such an issue with tangling in my 60 years of crocheting. It took me 5 hours to detangle and rewind one skein. I never want to use this yarn again.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who really dislikes it! It's so frustrating to have to spend hours untangling yarn. Thanks for watching!
I love the Light Peach yarn. I used it last year in my temperature blanket as my '70s color. Sticking with the pastel rainbow again this year. I added a few more colors, but I am still using Light Peach fir the '70s.
Pastel Rainbow sounds beautiful!
That chenille review was great. I don't want all the fuzzies either. The 4 leaf clovers 🍀 were awesome. I wonder where they came from 😊
Thank you!🩷
The clovers were such a fun thing to find!
Well telling by the comments imma be the only one with this opinion 😂💯 I absolutely love loops and threads yarn. I literally just bought a bunch of pro packs from them. For me parfait chunky is too thin for me. There’s shedding but that’s part of using chenille yarn. It can get annoying because the magic ring can break or be super thin where you have to pull it but for me the thickness and accessibility for me does it. I think I’m just so used to working with it that it doesn’t affect me too much. I absolutely love it and I’ve made many of plushies with it. Sweet snuggles lite and chenille home slim is all I use when it comes to weight 6 yarn
Agree. Their rewards program coupled with Micheal’s card rewards, and sales is how I am able to sell finished projects at lower price point without eating into my hourly wage or profits.
I wish I didn't mind the shedding because. It's definitely one of the softest yarns I've ever used! Thanks for watching!
I use that light peach for my skin tons for my amigrumi's. It's the perfect color
I appreciate your review. I would hate to waste my money on this yarn. Love your videos. You're so sweet!
Thank you so much ❤️
Thank you for sharing your experience with Loops and Threads chenille yarn with us.
Thanks for watching!
I’ve only tried just chenille and lion brand Naptime chenille. Naptime is great and doesn’t shed but it is only in a 4 weight and limited colors but it’s awesome if you have something to make with the colors they have and don’t mind a smaller toy. It’s great for loveys though!
I've never heard of the naptime chenille! I'll have to check that one out!
Yep that yarn sheds all that type of yarn does. I have made scrunchies out of the chenille yarn from dollar tree. They came out nice. Thanks! ❤❤
Thanks for watching!
Hi Kristen, good to see you today. The colors of your new yarns are so pretty, thank you for sharing about the loops and threads yarn. You make a lot of amigurumi so if you had issues I’m sure I would struggle. The peach yarn would make a beautiful cardigan! I will check it out next time I visit Hobby Lobby. Thank you for the Bless Scripture, God Bless you too!
Hi Melissa! I'm definitely leaning towards making some type of clothing item with the peach yarn! I'm glad you enjoyed the review and I hope you have a great week!
Thank you for your honest review. New to your channel, can't wait to watch more.
You're welcome! So glad you found my channel 🩷
Thank you for your honest review. I've noticed the more that people are sponsored by companies, the more the truth is becoming twisted. I haven't used chenille yarn yet, but I am planning to in the future. I truly appreciate your yarn demonstration.
You're so welcome. Thanks for watching!
Aw, I love the 4-leaf clover find! What a fun treasure! Thanks for the plush yarn review. Some of those yarns are so questionable.
It was a fun surprise! And you're welcome 🩷
I honestly don’t know how the Loops & Threads yarns are selling at Michael’s. Everyone I’ve tried have been horrible. Besides, my Michael’s store has the worst selection of yarn and it’s an absolute mess with really messed up skeins of yarn everywhere.
I agree about the yarn section lately at Michaels. I don't enjoy shopping there anymore either.
Thanks for the advice and tips on yarn ❤😊
You are so welcome!
Wow I learn a lot and bought some . Now I will go and try it , hope it won t be bad like your last one cause I bought a lot and ordered more . 😮
Let me know how it works for you! Hopefully they will improve the shedding
Good to know about the yarn, I have some but haven't used it yet.
Thanks for watching!
Hi Kristen...I just found your channel in my youtube "margin." Your review was very helpful. Although I don't currently work with chenille yarn, I will remember your warnings. :) I loved the four leaf clover finds and the Bible verse. God bless you too!
Hi Mary! I'm so glad you found my channel! 🩷
I appreciate your review. I was going to try the loops and threads because Bernat blanket pulls too much when making amigurumi and it hurts my shoulder.
Thanks for watching. Bernat blanket makes my hands hurt!
I love their peach yarn
I have that peach yarn by Hobby Lobby…I used it in a lapghan that I made…love it!!! Thank you so much for advising us regarding Michaels L&T Chenille yarn… I would definitely return it for a refund and write a review on Michaels website. I’m sure they completed some type of quality control on it…and still produce it….very disappointing!!! Looking forward to your temp blanket update and your WIPS video!!! GODS smile and joy daily is a blessing to each of our lives!!! It’s like the 4LC’s were placed there just for you…GODS smiling down on you…as they are for faith, hope, love and luck!!! Stay safe and be blessed ❤
It seems like most people who have tried it feel the same. I hope they see the review and make some changes. It's a shame because it's one of the softest yarns I've used!
The clovers we're such a sweet surprise! 🩷 Hope you and your family are doing well!
Yep, don't like chenille yarn at all!! So difficult to work with!! Also do not prefer Bernat Blanket because it twists when crocheting and since it is a "flat" yarn, it looks like a twisted mess!! It is very soft tho and I made a nice squishy rug with it, actually half the rug since I got so tired of working with it, then switched to a Loops & Threads chunky that is not a flat yarn and not chenille, but it was a tiny bit scratchy, although still soft and squishy.
I definitely agree on the Bernat blanket. It hurts my hands so I hardly ever use it anymore.
Do a granny pop sweater by mj off the the hook designs, i am using self striping its a gorgeous pattern
That would be a great option! Craft and a Cuppa just came out with a granny sweater pattern also!
I enjoyed your review. Thank you for the prayer and God bless you as well!
Thank you! ✝️🩷
Just found your channel! Love your content! Are you aware that the Dollar Tree yarns are all Premier Yarns? Good call in liking them. Great for your budget and good quality for crafting.
Thank you! So glad you found my channel! And yes Premier is definitely one of my favorite brands! 🩷
I saw another video where the person made a blanket for her daughter and she hand embroidered something like love mom. 2024. I would so something similar so whoever gets it in the future, your kids or nieces or nephew's, they will know when it was made and what it was. Like temperature blanket 2023.
I love that idea!
1 skein shawl by B. Hooked Crochet
I suggest you look at Ross’ Smells Like Yarn’s Stripe scarf pattern for the stripe yarn. It’s a simple one row repeat and looks like corner to corner but shows off striping yarn. He has a tutorial.
I will have to check that out. Thanks!
Thank you! everyone seems so taken with this loops and threads yarn but it infuriates me to work with because it frays so easily. I'm also concerned about the longevity of anything made with this yarn because of that. The on e thing going for it is that it is one of the softest chenille yarns I have ever touched.
It really is one of the softest yarns I've ever used. It's really a shame that it sheds so horribly. I hope they work to improve it!
I got all the "high " temperatures last year so I can do a blanket. Now this year I'm getting all the "lows" for another blanket
I love that idea!
Thanks!
Thank you so much! 🥰
I really love the loops and threads faux fur yarn, its sturdy and sooo soft, but the chenille versions shedding issues is next level bad.
It really is! I'll have to try the faux fur!
Oh no...I have 6 skeins of loops & threads chenille slim sitting here in the package waiting for me to make a throw out of lol. Dang...well I guess I'll invest in a bottle of that liquid you dab on the ends to keep it from unraveling! Hopefully that'll save me from losing my mind when I start that project 😂 Thanks for the heads up!
I hope that will help! I was just so shocked at the amount of shedding. It's super hard to weave in as well. It's so soft though!
@@kristencrochets Thankfully this is a project for myself so I'll tie knots at the ends in addition to the liquid stuff...it won't be pretty but hopefully it'll hold together lol
Hobby Lobby can order your yard. They are great
New here, thank you!
So glad you found my channel! ❤️
I'm not a fan of Parfait, I have more trouble with that one.
Which one do you enjoy the most?
@@kristencrochets I like Chenille Home slim, for me I don't struggle with it as much as Parfait. I'm really loving Big Twist Posh which is kind of a mix of Bernat and Chenille. Frogs out easily, no shedding and nice stitch definition.
Smart choice. I would not buy it either.
