You are right. I believe that's why he got so big tbh. It's basically perfect training and perfect recovery. That's why he makes so much progress every year and that's the reason he was so close to winning Mr O this year as well. I started training his way and the pumps i've been getting are fucking insane. As he says, pushing heavy shit, for reps and with slow eccentric form is just so good for muscle growth and size.

The perfect chest workout consists of one bar, one dumbbell, one machine and one pull preferably cable cross or that pec deck. The secret sauce is push-ups. Pulling chest superset with push-ups.

HEY NICK, just a little piece of good advice on triceps training. I know cause I’m 40 now but I still developed tendinitis in my funny bone area around 30 cause of things like heavy free weight preacher curls and scull crushers as you can tell that part of the inside elbow is placed all the load on from that angle by using an easy grip style like you did here on the machine BUT when I switch to the flat bar on it and straighten the elbows and back of the arm forward takes all this stress of it. Now I didn’t have the triceps machine like you did so I experimented by setting facing opposite on the peacher bench and laying my back on the top of the arm pad made it feel like one of those rare rounded incline benches probably and it felt and did INCREDIBLE !!

I was surprised that he was using ultra light weights on DB presses! He could lift those with his Pinkies!...LOL. I get it though, sometimes you need to push the blood in the muscles! Also, machines these days are very impressive! I train at home and haven't been to a Gym in years! When I used to go around the first decade of the 2000s they had some nice machines, but nothing like the ones he's using here! They seem so Ergonomical and smooth.

(Than machines it is but of course you wouldn't be as massive without heavyweight lifting so that plays a major role in your development.)
