I am a spiritual writer and just did some writing on gems, because i don't know much about how gems are mined I had to go to youtube to understand, so thank you for posting this, what an amazing world with all the people and all it has to offer
Spectacular specimens. I collected there twice about 20 years ago and got a bunch of the galena and blue fluorite. I looked desperately for the linarite, but to no avail.
Wow, unbelievable stuff man! I just discovered some at an abandoned mine in yavapai county, not Azurite but legit Linarite. Not as exceptional as the stuff you have here but some nice stuff. What an under appreciated mineral/gem
Just bought some linarite specimins from the Flagg show in Mesa.....apparently the Rowley mine in glia bend has a little of it there, but we mostly found mimitite, and wulfenite.
Wow, I wish I could collect like that, there are no public mines or collecting sites around here. Even if there is I have no idea where to start looking.
sarahrose0413 I was selling at the Flagg show. I was in the Front row toward the north Selling Halite, cubic Pyrite from Spain, and Celestite. I still have some linarite from this find.
it would be great to retrive galena (and linarite?) from the mining period, spare material in mine, retrive more after hundered years and so on to study mineral (mine/mine-ral:) development!
Awsome finds. Hard, dangerous work But it looks like it has great rewards. Might want to think about taking a partner along with you, safer that way. Good luck to you in the future, I will be watching this for updates. (I got a few videos of me digging for Amazonite in Colorado). Badger4life.
wow that is so fucking awesome, what do you think i would find if i dug under my back yard that deep. i live right under neath lake michigan at the tip top of indiana. Blue is my favorite color, and those crystals look beautiful. Do you think if you tried really hard you could make a house down there? Or at least a room with a couch to hang out in.

Wow ! Beautiful color for being blue ... Very nice

Billy Proctor crystal market
Yes, this is from the Blanchard Mines in Soccorro County.
So Awesome!
Does anyone know what the prospectors, hundreds of years ago, did with the crystals and such? Did they throw them out, or grind them up?

happyharv1 destroy beautiful linarite crystals that look millions of years to make by cutting/smashing/grinding them. Hopefully not.
Beautiful. How do you know where to mine for this mineral?
Wow!
What do I say at 5:00 ? I mine specimens for a living. I have never entered a mine without a helmet.
cool vid

waooowww keren
just a little curious, but how much money did you get (if you sold them) but otherwise great video. :)
How much wold that sell for?
Too bad cut linarite gems are nonexistent, they'd be absolutely delightful collector's pieces.
how do you make linarite?
do the crystals have any practical use?
