      This guy is living in a fantasy world. It sounds amazing but this guy is a con artist and if he were to go to prison today he'd be green lit by virtually every prisoner in the system. If you do your research, you'll understand he's a deplorable individual.

    • @cvx5422
      @cvx5422 2 года назад

      @@evanpimental why do you say that? Just curious.

    • @evanpimental
      @evanpimental 2 года назад +3

      @@cvx5422 great question. Let me preface my critique by saying I am 31, and spent most of my 20s under the politics of the California prison system, I've been to prison twice. California, for better or worse, birthed prison culture.
      About Michael Thompson, I don't know if we should start in the 70s and work our way until now or start with the recent stuff. Let him tell it, he's really never committed any moral transgressions. His self righteousness drives me crazy. I'll start with his most recent scumbag behavior. As of just last year (Let him tell it, MANY years after he changed his ways), he defrauded the government to the tune of $320,000 of Pandemic Relief Funds that he stole to enrich himself. He says he never murdered anyone, yeah ok. You can't be in the Aryan Brotherhood, much less a "leader" without committing at least one homicide. Let anyone else tell you about the AB, they don't call it blood, in blood out for nothing. Second, HE was responsible for putting more structure within the Aryan Brotherhood. Rather ingeniously one thing I will give Michael Thompson credit for was he taught the inmates to represent themselves in court, to call all the other members throughout the system as "witnesses" for the mere fact of having gang meetings with the AB leadership throughout the California dept of corrections. Michael started to be so ruthless he was going to have an ex-member who cooperated with Law Enforcement's father killed as the ex-member was in the witness protection program. Now this is when Michael Thompson claims to have his "non-violent epiphany" so quite hypocritically, to enter protective custody, he tells on every one of his "brothers" he cooperates 100% with the government. He turned the Aryan Brotherhood into a prison group into an organized criminal group engaged in racketeering, then left everyone high and dry to get hefty sentences where most people were looking at the federal death penalty.
      He's done so much shit that doesn't align with his morals just hearing him talk makes me sick. He has a very self righteous tone, like a good con man. He doesn't mention that if he ever went back to prison, people would be cutting each other in line to kill him for all of his tomfoolery.
      Also, he's been shot 22 times? Been in 100 knife fights? Okay if he's had as many knives and bullets in him as he claims he would me a medical anomaly.
      Sorry if it's long winded. I tried to give you the cliff notes version lol.

      I am a free thinker and base my opinions on facts and as much first knowledge as possible.
      It doesn’t sound like you were in the system at the same time as MT. How would you know his history so well other than through other inmates? I am not trying to discredit you, I just want to get to the truth.
      I am not saying your account is inaccurate, however how do you know you were given factual information?

      And a liar. A lot of his stories are embellished in their facts of how many people involved, how many he fought at the same time by himself, the times he got shot, how many times he was shot/stabbed in single occasions and a lot of it has been verified by other monsters he's been in prison with that have also dropped out and who don't have anything coming to them by telling the truth.

    I have listened intensely to several interviews of this man and of two others who survived prison and I'm not sure what I have gained except that prison is not (as I have always suspected) a place I would ever want to go. And, now at the age of 73, I think I never will. I began listening to these interviews and was intrigued by the stories of fights and gangs and how they establish their territories and how the prisons allow these gangs to "rule" and it seems that no matter how hard the prison system might try to abolish the gangs, they simply can't. So what does a guy do if he goes to prison, but wants nothing to do with gangs and that whole mindset of fighting and violence and all the corruption involved?
    It seems to me that this Micheal Thompson never misses a chance to pass himself as some kind of mysterious super bad ass who has some kind of magic native American religion and code that only leads him into trouble. Then he expands with his ideology and constantly makes his "code" and value system and upbringing the source all kinds of contradiction with the path he chose to live. I guess 45 years in prison doesn't leave him with many lucrative options, so why not exploit the one thing he does know, prison violence. I personally wouldn't trust him with my pet fish.

I am now writing to my Senators & House Reps about the proposed ridiculous attempts to put released prisoners back in prison once released. I need to relisten to this video again to get the correct name of this proposed change in legislation, as my description of it above is probably not the correct name if it. All the politicians need to be out on vision quest & to participate in a sweatlodge or two to bring them back into more balance! Love to you, your wife & family & to Shaun for hosting this video. You walk in Beauty. Owanestica, Walks Strong Woman (Pam)

    I appreciate Mike’ stand on the innocent, and I respect his educational efforts and degrees. That’s amazing. This guy could be a professor or accomplished “civilian” so to speak in numerous ways if his early years had different circumstance and influences. But to do it overcoming what he has is really something great.

    It is easy for everyone to sit back and try judging someone from behind your computer screen but at the end of the day he has done 45 years in prison and been through more than 99.9% of people talking would never survive, so whether or not he was a leader in the brand is inconsequential. He is a warrior and there is no doubting that fact.

This guys a wildly intriguing individual, great interview, your one guy who just lets his guest talk… you interject rarely, and it really allows them to let their thoughts flow…You could do 50 interviews with this guy and still not have everything. Love it. Can’t wait for #2.

      Me, and several others here are confused - is Mike currently out of prison/custody? He got charged with fraud about 2 years ago and was taken back into custody. Is that still pending? OR is this interview 3 years old (done right after Mike got released, but before the latest charges)?

    This interview was on point. I've done over 18 years and the Maryland Division of Corrections. And Maryland is the only other state besides California that the BGF operate in. I understand some of the things this man went through. The Aryan Brotherhood is active in Maryland prisons as well, I watched them with my own two eyes murder a member of a local prison gang called Dead Man Incorporated. Or DMI. And it was retaliation because DM I had killed two Aryans. Crazy how he was the leader of this very same gang. Good fucking interview! Definitely got a new subscriber

    Now Thompson stands accused not of violent crimes, but exploitative white collar offenses, such as bilking homeless people out of unemployment, or signing up a fake Southern California firefighting company for $1.5 million in business loans. According to the complaint, Thompson and his co-defendant, whom he met in prison, convinced 16 people to give up their personal information to benefit the alleged scheme.
    “Basically, the story was, ‘Oh, well, we’re going to apply for unemployment for you, we’ll take a fee and we’ll give you the rest,’” Lake County District Attorney Susan Krones told the Sacramento Bee. “And in most of these cases they never got any of the unemployment.”
    As authorities in Lake County are fighting to keep Thompson incarcerated - he is being held without bail on a parole violation, on top of the 33-count complaint - lawyers with the California Attorney General’s office are fighting to hold together a 1986 double murder conviction while acknowledging that one of its key witnesses, Thompson, is not to be trusted.
