I was standing around for days trying to get my sapling to grow, then I found out that the light levels were 0 so I put a lantern down, waited more days, it still didn't grow, then I looked for a video and I can't believe I didn't think to use the watering can, I looked at it, and then forgot it existed since it kinda just looks like a paint brush
Skyfactory 1 got me into modded so many Christmases ago, regardless of what Bacon did he is the reason i play modded. Glad Dark continues with the pack.
Veinmine is r on default, look at advancements and search for colors not dyes to unlock them through items of that color, and than craft the dye like in normal recipes. For me hardest was cyan with fully oxidized copper block (speed it up with the watercan it's a random tick accelerator). Most of the colors were through plants like beets from grass for red, eggplant for purple, onion for magenta.
I like a lot about how they've done the start for this pack! The watering can and the unbreakable tools are a much welcomed approach. I halfway want to install it and see if it will run on java 21. I wonder when pickle tweaks is going to come into play?

I think the main reason people went to neoforge is because of the better conditions the neoforge devs are under. Staying with forge with this pack is probably because its been worked on for a while and it would be too much effort to update. Either way, the new version wouldnt effect the pack too much 🤔
Hey @cathy6289 I had the same problem and when I did this it worked… open curse forge, go to the little gear in the bottom left then under “Game Specific” click Minecraft, then scroll till you see allocated memory then put it to 8.5 or 8500 MB! Lmk if that works. You might have to restart your pc once but it should work!
If it's the same as ATM10, the mod that allows placing of blocks under you etc, is called "Bridging Mod". You can turn off the bridging feature in the mod options. (esc menu) I can't stand it, I kept misplacing blocks etc.
I was really excited for this then i tried to play it. A lot of the visual junk they added (like the spinning icons) i find extremely distracting and annoying. The whole adding colour thing seems like a fun idea but it just hurts my eyes and gave me eye strain and a headache. The same goes for just watching a video. Sorry but "1/10 won't go back".
While i hate recommending this because it usually only makes people use it when they don't need to, But pilpoh, if you really need to use cheats or fix an emergency bug, you can always throw your world into lan, set commands on, and then they work, once you close the world and reopen, back to normal. So worst case scenario cheats is never needed on.
Luckily with this pack, I haven't needed to use any cheats but it's good to know! I did already know about this for when you need to add claims with ftb chunks but i didn't think to use it for cheats, i just thought of it as admin mode! 🤔
@ yeah I had an issue with atm10 just straight erasing a backpack of mine after a crash and felt bummed and realized I could peep what my stream vod had in it , and fixed it cheatingly, so I learned this recently , and while watching thought I’d share !! Love your content bro keep it up 2025 can be a great year
I'll give you 2 clues. Clue 1: "Green Dye and Sticks" Clue 2: "Washing with a fan" Once you unlock a colour you can then make the colour the regular way 😉
No offense but instead of constantly talking to figure things out! You could've easily have used JEI to show that you could've scrolled through the campfire recipes and found that crafting a soul campfire by creating a 2x2 brown dye to craft into soul sand, then crafted that into a soul campfire. Cook the template boards and, Voila, let there be ASH.
I used the really cheap coloured campfire instead though right? You don't need a soul campfire 😁 I also talk everything through and show all my working even if it's wrong... that's my deal lol!
I don't understand why modpacks like this are so against using the FTB quest book. It is such a nice convenience, and you don't even need to put rewards in there for people all you have to do is just have something there as a guide.
You made me look at the mods and by the looks of it, it doesn't have any FTB mods... not even FTB chunks? Weird! Wonder why that is, I thought the previous SkyFactory packs were made by the FTB team 🤔

watering can is a paint brush cuz of no color also its the bridging mod that places blocks infront of you and you can turn it off with a keybind

I noticed this being worked on last month. Darkosto had opened bug reports for a few mods :)
It feels strange for using 1.20.1 instead of 1.21.1
1.21 is too new
I think it’s mostly because that most of the mods aren’t updated yet. I know create isn’t.

I had to bump up the RAM, then it worked.
It needs at least 6gb according to a post i saw somewhere. Also remove all the Additional Arguments in CF, thats what did me in at first 😉

Accidentally used green dye on dirt instead of sapling. How do you get green dye again?
Cutting down the colourless trees will give you green apples which can craft into green dye 😉
The fluid cow references were removed in an update to the pack.
