I recently invested in a Noco LIFEPO4 battery…I am very impressed with this technology. Thanks Sandy for all your research that you shared in this video
Hi 👋, Sandy, great territorial, I think they’re all got their pros and cons, and of course, if you get to switch something off, it’s going to cause a problem one way or another, stay safe, ,
Your HD I believe has a. AGM battery. My 2020 SGS has an AGM battery as did my 2017 SGS. With proper maintenance I normally get 5-7 years of use from my batteries.
Great information, thanks! I was having issues with all my LEDs so I took the opportunity to switch to the Banshee Lithium on my '22 Trike. Huge difference.
2020 HD heritage classic I bought the NOCO Lithium NLP20 and it has 600amps. Although i have it setup with a NOCO Genius 10 charger/maintainer/trickle charger i wanted to test the battery without the trickle charger connected for 2 weeks in my un-heated garage & i'm getting 13.4V.
Group Size. This means the battery will be correct dimensions and the battery post will be in the correct position. If group size is correct you will not have to rig the battery to make it work. Then amps and CCA the more the better here. With lithium you may need a special charger if yours can’t be selected for type battery to charge.
So there are different group sizes that standardize the dimensions and locations of the terminals ? Where do I see the group name or number on the battery?
@@HOLYSHIFT Yes. Should have the group size or code labled something like 14-BS (this code is for my 4wheeler). This means the Height x Length x Width and the battery post are all the same no matter what brand or model. Just the amps and cold cranking amps and reserve will be different.

Great content Sandy thanks for the lesson!!!!! I think the Lith / Ion batteries need a special trickel charger?
They do - I got one ☝🏻
HD motorcycles come with an AGM battery from the factory. They don't have a liquid acid battery anymore.
Aha ! Once I swap mine out with the lithium- I’ll confirm! Thanks
Good job Sandy.

If i have to pay more than $120 for the perfect battery....Then i will pay $100 for an Ok battery that lasts 2 years....🤔
