I always like to revisit this. The first music video I ever made. Can't believe we exceeded a million. Blows my mind. We made something great tho on the fly with a bunch of creative people together for 3 days.
i remember when i was recommended joey badass - world domination which then recommended clear soul forces - get no better which then recommended this... good times
Yeah! Pro Era's Like Water put me on to all these fire katz! I'm always saying to my fellow old school fans. Stop acting like we weren't underground once upon a time and start digging in those RUclips crates and see what's out there!
Because once mainstream people hear something like this on the radio lil wayne, and all them go out of business lol they wana keep bad influences up rather than positive trill vibe shit ya feel meh
+TheMAR3oner Lil' Wayne has unmatchable metaphors. Hes not an issue. hes not real Hip Hop, hes rap. But hes still good lyrically imo. But yeah.. I mostly listen to 90s Hip Hop and this song is dank.
+Christian Riley Yeah, no. Lil Wayne is trash metaphors or no. Sugarcoated dog vomit is still dog vomit no matter how much sugar you add. There's no way anyone that listens to 90s shit would have even the slightest shred of respect for Lil Wayne.
I came across this two years ago on an intentional path to "discover something" -- listening to a track, seeing what looked interesting in the sidebar, clicking that, repeat -- and immediately shared it with ten friends. I STILL use this as a go-to for "have you heard this?" for people I want to impress. If you're ever in the Pacific Northwest, you'll have at least a dozen fans there because of me, and possibly an opening act if you don't think I (or some of my peeps) suck.
Oddly enough I discovered this band from HGTV Love it or List it. The homeowner said he was in a band and needed a music room, then in the after renovation reveal there were posters and vinyl of Kooley High, so I googled and RUclipsd, and now I’m here.
These guys like to keep it old school, this track is deep and soulful and the lyrics are on fire, this will appeal to even De La , Tribe fans. that first verse is so easy to relate with man.
This track brings back memories!! Vibing with my boys sparking up one and cruising down the streets. Loved this song back in my stoner days and still do love it even when I am not sparking.
this song is still so fucking good. the production, the verses, the chorus, the video being super super sick.. whole thing is gold. shit takes me right back to when i first heard it
It's crazy im only 24 & this Era of music showed how underground ppl > mainstream. Look how far Rapsody has came. She's the female Kendrick Lamar nowadays 🙏🏾🌍👸🏾
Man this is sick and it's so great to finally see a fresh white mc that can keep up with this kind of style, sick video and props to the guy and the girl too!
North Carolina is on the come up! Currently the 3rd most filmed state behind California, and New York. Not to mention all the actors and comedians that grew up in the area! I am a new actor who just moved to Los Angeles from Raleigh, NC for a deal with MGM. Maybe you will be hearing from me soon too. MUCH LOVE TO THESE DUDES!
So much good hip hop out there active right now, Im amped on it, Kooley High, Phora, Clear Soul, Portrey Youth, Logic , I could go on and on but Im excited for what 2013 brings man
why doesn't Kanye look for talent like this? This was his realm...the producer is dope,The flow is crazy...why the fuck does ye not hunt talent if he's comparing himself to Disney...then he should be looking for innovation from the youth like Kooley High. This is by far some of the best music I've ever heard.
No matter the age, no matter the status-quo, no matter the artist, hip-hop will always be a great thing. Doesn't matter if it's old school our new gen, individual or commercial, it well always have soul as long as the apparatus that bares it isn't easily rusted when heading down the main stream or blinded rising up from the underground.
I always like to revisit this. The first music video I ever made. Can't believe we exceeded a million. Blows my mind. We made something great tho on the fly with a bunch of creative people together for 3 days.
