Good question. For a 12 MP camera, full screen mode crops the image to fill the screen, resulting in a 7 MP image. Many people don't know this and assume that full screen is max resolution, but not true. 9:16 (portrait) or 16:9 (landscape) gives you a 9 MP image and 3:4 / 4:3 gives the max resolution image, which is 12 MP. You can see by taking a pic in each mode and swiping up on the image in gallery to see its details.
@@TechImaginistwow thank you! I assumed for 2 years "full" was max resolution and was wondering why my phone is taking absolutely rubbish photos. Thanks so much 😊

Yes go to regular phone settings. Should be able to get there from swipe down from top and hit the gear N top right. Or just go to your app screen and find setting. There will be a search bar at the top of your settings screen type camera settings and boom you should be good.

Hi. I can't decide without seeing photo samples. Pls make sure the camera lens is clear and that you have good light when taking photos. If there's still a problem, I would suggest taking it for service at an authorized service center.

@@TechImaginist Every time I clicked the Settings it would immediately...Anyway, I already Factory Reset my phone and it no longer gives me this problem. Thanks
Hi. Try to change to a lower resolution like 12MP. If you are using the max resolution 50MP, zoom options are disabled. You will find the resolution option as mentioned in the video or as separate buttons which Samsung updated recently, depending on how it appears for you.
Hi. This depends on the phone & its hardware capabilities bruh. Your device might not have 8k and max resolution would be 4k(UHD) ,60fps. That is plenty in itself, imo. Thanks!
It looks like they just followed Apple’s way of auto setting the max supported resolution for each aspect ratio selected. Earlier you could set 64 mp or 12 mp and the aspect ratio would change automatically to 4:3. If you wanted a wider 16:9 shot, a crop is applied to the image and only 9 mp would be available. It essentially does the same thing now, except that manual resolution controls are no longer available.
@@TechImaginist God that is so dumb.
