I have been eagerly waiting for this speaker announcement since watching the stream with Mr Kerr. If you are serious with it you may end up saving me from actually starting a long planned and dreaded dyi saga , since I suspect you might be heading n the same overall direction I was wishing I would manage to go. - and then you may have just won a customer ! Just setting a home studio up in New Brighton away from my commercial studio in mid Wales. Will be very interested to audition your Atmos setups as I had started to delve into 5.1 etc. The new room has a high ceiling, so very doable there.

I've known about the new A series for a while now and even though I kind of need larger speakers, I've held out on buying shiny new monitors because you announced the PDP69420. I also was not going to buy monitors without hearing them first/having watched at the very least one review made by a channel I feel can be trusted. Fast forward a couple of weeks and everything is happening at the same time; I am so looking forward to this! Seriously, I need that Discord channel now xD Only half kidding of course, but I understand documenting the whole design process it will slow down work. It's a bit of a shame, the smaller/more budget friendly I suppose members of the lineup will have to wait, but it totally makes sense to want to go all out and than scale down instead given your situation. Are you going to work with Kerr as originally planned? The tweeter in the thumbnail looks like it would at least be a new model. I am sorry this was a bit rambly, I am too excited right now... cheers!

I already started designing a fancy DSP subwoofer system that attempts to do fancy Genelec stuff, and these new monitors of yours had better integrate! Or else I will waggle my finger in your general direction.

How ironic that, just as you’re getting into Atmos sound so heavily, you’re putting so much effort into two channels.
The trend elsewhere does appear to be for audio & video to be joining together, rather than splitting apart... if it means both channels receive fewer views respectively, especially... but one can assume only that you know what you’re doing, and wish you well in this latest endeavour.
The idea behind it is that people who watch the original PDP channel are only interested in audio production, and so if we post video-related content here, it never does well, so it affects our RUclips performance. Isolating the video content onto a dedicated channel opens it up to a new audience interested in that particular topic! :)
Very excited about your own PDP monitors but I do really wanna see your review of the A7V, I've been using the A7Xs for almost a decade so I'm wondering if they're a good upgrade for me at this time ... so ... whenever you're ready :)

planning to build my home studio and I've never had a studio monitor. if your studio speaker is for sale it is going to be my first studio monitor because I am not a fan of mainstream studio monitors. not a big fan of a mainstream products.
How did the A77H compare to A8H? Does the A8H offer more bass extension? I have the A77H on order not sure if I should swap to the A8H.
I feel the A77H was more balanced than the A8H, the A8H seemed a little over-hyped in the treble

They do indeed have the same tweeter and crossovers. But the sound was different - presumably a cabinet diffusion effect.

Just to clear up any confusion
So i guess it finally happened... you guys really have lost your mind over the whole atmos thing. You can't afford the good stuff? Well then lets just do what all the brilliant professionals in the world couldn't and build the future of professional atmos mixing on our own - from good will and fairy dust, so the quality will be breathtakingly magical and the price will be around 5 bucks.
Remember that episode of top gear, where clarkson builds his own electric car...
Can you please focus more on production please. Less on products. The vids are cool, But every one is doing the same. How about real life content relating to what you do. With out the fluff. You are more and more like Produce Like a Pro. However you have less content. i.e Less the interesting interviews real insights to others int he industry. PLAP has a lot of product stuff, however has a good mix of non product related content. I do enjoy the funny bits and thats appealing. What you don't realise is that when you review speaker etc. You always refer back to the ATC's or how much better they are. Not all the time. However everyone knows thats your main stay. So why look else where? Why do the reviews? Focus on production content. Thats what people enjoy more. Thanks
Looking forward to these boxes, was considering the ik multimedia surround iCloud setup, €4K without subs, for a small room maybe the way, comes complete with measurement mics, surround setup got their INTERNAL DSP, MAYBE YOU COULD TEST IT, I‘D LOVE TOO, DOMT HAVE YOUR CONNECTIONS THOUGH, just noticed stuck in capitals, sorry…..just took my meds….🫠🤭🙉🙊🙈
