Always like the human villains that claw their way up. Then they give it all a good tragic back drop on top. I had mostly checked out of the game after book 2, but this was a very cool story to me. Made me actually like the FEH OCs.
Well, technically, Book 2 did that before it was cool. Remember how the FE series is with names (even in a setting that so heavily “follows”/plays with Norse mythology). Surtr isn’t a god in this; just a powerful mortal king, given a blessing of power by his god (Muspell, whom Surtr’s kingdom is named for in FEH). Muspell himself doesn’t even appear until a _much_ later “Tempest Trials” event.

My favourite piece of music in FEH! And Fafnir's my favourite villain! Btw, does anyone else feel that the image is incomplete? Everyone else is paired (Dagr-Nott, Reginn-Otr and Alfonse-Fafnir in the middle) but there's no one opposite Eitri. I wonder, is that spot reserved to some yet-to-be-introduced character or to the anti-Summoner from the beginning (maybe even the God of Creation)?
Well the sisters are together cus well, yeah. Reginn and Otr have opposite goals surrounding their brother. Alfonse vs Fafnir is just how the book is gonna be set up lol. Eitri, she's up to something with Otr, who knows what.
Well, it seems that there was no one to actually contrast Eitri. This book was great when it started but the ending was pretty... rushed. The book's music still slaps and it's one of my favourites in all of FE; but the lack of development on Eitri's part made the story feel rushed to meet the 13 chapters deadline. This is, quite honestly, a shame: there was no development at all of Fáfnir's "magical invincibility seal" from the beginning, which is a characteristic from FEH's first boss maps that's getting quite tiresome, and there was no information regarding Eitri that doesn't come from her dying monologue, which is a lazy way to introduce new, ultimately irrelevant, information.
