Restoring the Backyard Koi Pond | Deep Cleaning, Filtration & Stocking

- This is the complete restoration, cleaning and stocking of my backyard koi pond. I inherited this koi pond when I bought my new house, so I quickly learned how outdoor ponds worked, along with the best stocking for my backyard pond.
One of the more difficult aspects to the pond was learning the brands and models of the skimmer and waterfall, so that I could install the filtration effectively. I ended up doing a bit of DIY filtration while connecting the Aquasurge pump into the old skimmer output, after finding out that the brand was Team Aquascape.

Since this video is from two years ago, I would love a follow-up on how the pond is doing these days.
It looks great! nice job! you have to watch with those shrubs being close to the pond I had some close like that and the roots from them grew right through my liner, had to replace my liner so I cut down all the shrubs that were too close to the pond.

sweet little pond dude....you guys sweetened that right up.....my hands are sappy.....hahahaha....good thing you didn't find any body parks in that thing....hahahaha....very nice guys very nice.....we looked at a house with a pond before this one but it was tiny and lame.....eventually we will make an outside system of some sort but we haven't decided on it yet....we'll figure it sometime....we are thinking about a turtle habitat with numerous ponds in it and possible some vacuums and bridges....like a turtle and fish amusement park hahahaha....
This looks great. May use some expandable foam spray to stabilize the rocks and seal the gaps between the rocks. Some water plants will be great too.
