thanks! I always layer and pan several takes depending on the sound that I want. In this case, there were like 5 takes (2 takes each panned left and right, one dead center) for the verse/hook rhythm guitar but just one for the lead. The pickups/electronics in my ESP may have also helped too. I used GFS Fat Pat bridge and Lil Killer Neck.
i gotcha, i know that doing a double rhythm part that's panned out left/right really helps to give it a huge, in your face tone haha. i'm about to put my version up and had a few more tracks, but this sounds awesome for the time it took to record
haha nope but thanks! I recorded directly into an M-audio Fast Track Ultra. Guitar Rig 4 and Amplitube 3 were used...I do have a 100W Fender Mustang 3 amp, but I didnt use it for this.
my only suggestion/idea would be tune ur guitar down and then instead of going from G, E and then up to B and C#... you can go G, E and then DOWN to B and C#. So basically you would be playing the B and C# octave lower than you are now... just give it a shot and see if you like it I do a fair amount of hiphop/rap covers and noticed that tends to help a lot to make the guitar sound like part of the song opposed to something added (not trying to be critical, just sharing my idea)
diljo13 I don't know, I know you and a bunch of other people would enjoy the remix if the guitar was tuned lower But idk I really like how he set it, tone and everything E standard is it in?
Sounds awesome I just wish I heard someone playin drums for the beat
Good job on this. Sounds real good.
