i think you’re ready for kitchen sink bro. if you feel like it’s time be sure you watch both the lyric vid and the live version featuring tyler’s brother…zack joseph 👀
This song was released in 2009 and Josh was not in the group yet; he appeared in 2011. At that time it consisted of Tyler Joseph, Chris Salih (drummer), Nick Thomas (bassist)
The part of this song that always gets me chocked up is where the 3 men (The Holy Trinity) tell him they're driving to the morning sun where all your sins are washed away and all you did will be undone.
Oh we're going way back to 2009! This song is from the self titled album, made in Tyler's parents basement, before they were signed and before Josh joined the band. At this point the band was Tyler, Chris and Nick. There are very strong themes around Tyler's Christian faith in this album and very much so in this song which references salvation and the Trinity.
You’ll be amazed at how many songs they’ll be able to fit into one show. They tend to do parts songs and blend songs together, so everybody gets a piece of their favorite.
I’ll be at both nights in Denver! First night in seats with the whole family. Second night in the pit with my husband. Going to be in line all day Friday.
@@marytashkin1304 I'm soooooo jealous! If u see me, feel free to say hello 👋🏽 I want to meet some youtube Skeleton Clique if I can👊🏽💯 enjoy both shows and I'll be praying for overcast and no rain on Friday so you and husband aren't too hot👌🏽
... Joe E, you might appreciate" Morph", this is the second time you mention battles in your mind. I myself am a champion at compartmentalizing... those other voices are sealed in their boxes until I let them speak. ✌️
The piano in this .. just so beautiful…carries you away. I will be with you in spirit at your concert from 14000km away. I can’t wait to see how your experience goes
I love the self-titled album. Has a lot of really good old songs I think. Oh Miss believer might be my favorite. But honestly, every single one of the songs from the self-titled album hits you have to listen to all of them. This is also my favorite album cover. the artwork. I love it. I'm going to get that tattooed one day
You're going way way back now! I'd still like you to do The Hype and it would be interesting to see you do the MTV unplugged, although it's much longer than your normal one song reactions. I don't think you should do anymore concert versions until after you go see them. You'll appreciate the songs live way more if you haven't heard them live before. You're seeing them the first tour stop in Denver and I'm seeing them the last stop in Minneapolis. I'll be trying to not see things like the playlist or other comments about the tour until after i see them.
Tyler really has always been a singular talent, from the very beginning! It's so interesting, to hear the foundations of what they'll eventually become, and how different the band sounded without Josh in it!
Glad you could have the lyrics for this one even though there's not much for the videogragher POV. I guess lyric analysis is your thing too. And yes, I vibed with you! What you said about holes, and being completed by another. That's right on point for me. As others said, Tyler's bandmates were Chris Salih (bass), Nick Thomas (bass). But what they didn't say, is that Chris didn't play the drums on this, he only played drums live. Setting up microphones and capturing live drums is very difficult without a professional studio, and they couldn't afford studio time, so Tyler programmed the drums (per Chris Salih interview). For me, this doesn't take anything away from the song. It's a moment in their early history. But it was so beautiful to hear this live with Tyler on piano and Josh on drums during Bandito Tour (2018-19). It's not likely they'll play it again this time around. The Self-Titled songs most likely to be on this tour, are the same ones they preformed during the pre-Clancy small shows An Evening With Twenty One Pilots: Trapdoor and Isle of Flightless Birds. I wish I was going to the Denver shows. I have travel plans at that time. I'll watch tickets prices and maybe take a left turn to Denver. I'll let you know if I do! I'm hand painting my Clancy Stole. I hope it works out! |-/
Thank you for this!!! 💗💗💗 I got a stole, but mine is also too short. Hope you find yours soon. 🤞 Wish we were going to the same show. I’d dance, cry and sing all night with you. 😊
...I saw this live at Bandito 2018, Tyler said, Our Fathers asked for a part of the show when they could SIT DOWN! So he told us all to sit in our seats, in honour of their fathers. 🤣
Just finished making my stole put a little bit extra left so I turned one of them into a belt and then I had like a little baby piece. Might make a headband. For right now I've got my shirt halfway done. I have decided to put a bunch of patches all over my cargo pants so if anybody got any cool patches send them my way please
From what I've gleaned of the things going on in your head, I feel like you really need to listen to Trapdoor, and Friend, Please. Specifically in that order. They are an emotional gut punch on their own, but together, they are like a call and response, and they are two songs that when I heard them, I heard them when I needed them most. For a long time, I could not listen to them wothout crying.
this album was before Josh so the sound is definitely different - also obviously absolutely no budget so production is different, but very raw lyrics from Tyler
You've done the duo and now how about doing a trio? RUSH is a highly talented 3 man band featuring top tier lyrics, drumming, bass and drums. Their career spanned 40+ years and they were inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. The group has 24 gold, 14 platinum and 3 multi-platinum albums (accomplished with almost zero airplay). Their fan base is really engages with good music reactors. Take the opportunity to grow your channel by reacting to The Garden live from the Clockwork Angels Tour: ruclips.net/video/EsBNzf5JlZA/видео.html Although you would be reacting to the last song on their last album as an introduction, I think you will appreciate the visuals and recognize their genius. PS. RUSH appreciates reactors and doesn't hassle them.
Joe E! I’ve been loving your reactions to our favourite bands’ music! I’m here to say, Jesus is behind this music and He is a big reason why you’re so affected by it. I don’t know if you know Him, but if you do, you’ll understand why Tyler can sing “don’t be afraid”.
Have you done his song "Save"? Talk about pure, raw emotion. I cried the first time I heard it. Check it out if you haven't watched it! And if you have, please send me the link to check out the reaction. ❤️
The three men up front… The Son, The Father and The Holy Ghost!!
YO THIS…THIS IS THAT ONE FOR ME!! shout to the og emo clikkies that was waiting for this one. much love to the FPE

Tyler put this song on the set list after his grandfather died. It’s appropriate to think of your dad.
His lyrical abilities are just so special. Thank you for these reactions.

Before the concert you need to do The Hype. As a videographer you'll love it and it's super uplifting

Tyler gets more raw the farther you go back.✌️😊🌼
It occurs to me, Joe E, that what you are doing here is important. Thank you!
i think that same way it kills me just thinking what they would go through when im gone
I’ll be at both nights in Denver! First night in seats with the whole family. Second night in the pit with my husband. Going to be in line all day Friday.

@@caballerodarian338 oh nice! The 13th for me ❤
Let’s Gooo! This is a special one for me. Haven’t watched the reaction yet but a box of cheez-its says you love it!
Listen to "Drown" by Tyler Joseph. You won't hear it in concert since it was his own song, but that song changed my life!
... Such desperation. sad. Yet great rapping. And a bop! I always wonder what Tyler thinks he did that makes him feel so unworthy... 😪
I love this song so much!!! Happy that you’re reacting to it! ❤
react to redecorate and leave the city lyrics and goner live pls they are so important
Leave the city. That final verse is sung directly to us.😢
Love you getting to some deep cuts! I hope you get to some of the Tyler Joseph songs. Suggest my favorite Drown.
i love the way tyler describes being in love in the song "air catcher" in the same album (self tilted)
... Love is very risky. You can get hurt. 👍

All, just do 'em all! 👏 🥲🥰
This was and is one of my favorite songs from them. Many forget about the self titled, it’s a treasure trove
IMMA BE THERE!!! I'll be there opening day! :D
I always say this gotta be my funeral song, so beautiful. You should react to goner live at fox theatre pleasee
I’ll be at night 2 in Denver!

Thanks, Joe E!
...Kitchen Sink is very important. And the Screaming at the end, ugh. I got to see it live WITH ZACK! 2016 NYC-MSG night 2. 😃 Wow!!!

Omg yessss!! I didn't expect this one. Let's goooo.
This is my favorite song from them actually, it means a lot that you reacted and had your take on it
the three men up front are the hearse driver and his passenger + now the cab driver
