Yeah and in the comic books, it seems like rather then miles actually being the host, billy is still alive and in one of the pictures you can see miles and billy standing on the roof of Tiffanies trailer watching the murkoff agents leave, insinuating that miles isn’t really the host but that the wall rider is keeping him alive. But also how is billy still alive in the comic books? Well I don’t know but it’s strange.
Actually miles is now new host of wall rider and he's alive in sentient form like dr manhattan and lucy (miles also is the perfect host for wall rider) because of all the trauma and near death experience he's been through the whole game In that sentient form he does not need oxygen and other supplies like billy hope So he's basically unkillable I think he also killed dr werknike Because miles doesn't give two fucks about him unlike Billy That's why werknike was scared when he says you have become the new host
Ghost 94 I think the walrider is hella smart too. He knew that he will be needing a new host so he didn’t really kill Miles right away unlike everyone that gets in his way. He just gave enough pain and torture so to add to Miles’ experience of trauma and later he could take over and control Miles as his new host. I know this may sound conflictingbecause the walrider was trying to protect its former host(billy). But if you think the walrider could have easily killed miles.

I think Waylon felt obligated to leak the information because he could go into deep hiding with his family, possibly live a very sheltered existence, but if he didn't leak it, I am 100 percent sure Miles as the walrider could find him, in a matter of minutes, where it could take years if not life times for murkoff to find Waylon's family.
Miles wasn't the Walrider at the beginning of Outlast Whistle-blower. His reason for leaking everything was stated as being because everything Murkoff did was horrible. It says it in the beginning of Outlast(in a note in the car you automatically recieve) and Whistle-blower during the beginning when he is about to send the email.
My theory: Miles is still alive as the wall rider and thats why didn’t kill Waylon at the whistleblower ending. There is two points to why this could be the truth: 1. Miles is the perfect host meaning he doesn’t need his own body as he lives on trough wall rider and also doesn’t need food and water and because he is still somehow not insane and actually knows what he is doing, he knows who he is killing and who he shouldn’t kill (The reason why he didn’t kill Waylon because Waylon was trying to get information about the Murkov company exposed) 2. We know the wall rider has the ability to heal or replace dead cells and that could be the reason why Miles didn’t die from being shot because if this is the case he would’ve been healed by the Wall rider. The main reason to why i think this is because at the whistleblower ending Wall rider actually doesn’t kill Waylon who was trying to drive away in the jeep but it looks like Wall rider actually pushed Waylon towards the gate.
My theory is that the prisoner that saved waylon from Eddie was miles giving walrider to the prisoner to save him and miles was saving his life when fully needed all throughout whistleblower which also might be how miles was There so fast and killed the other guy (don’t remember his name it’s been a while)
The insane people are basically used as test subjects and the testing is the reason they’re insane and it’s taking place at the asylum because it was shut down but Murkoff thought it would be as good as of a place as any to do there experimenting and cover it up as just running a normal business. I hope this helps!
Back in the 60-80s theres been a lot of extremely weird experiments on people just because mentally challenged people that are that far from society don’t really have anyone who would care for them besides the “caretakers” MKultra is a real thing. Just the walrider isnt
The walrider could Only possess People who have become insane And after miles went through all the gore he saw all the pain he went through all the torture He would be insane
No You re not supossed to be insane Its about witnessing so much horror, pain, anger and so one and watching the engine movie- to bring your body that far to produce more and more cells and nanobotic cells combined with radiation and the engine
Another reason Wernicke would have wanted Miles dead was so that he wouldn't tell anyone that Wernicke was still alive, since he was declared dead years before the events of Outlast.
At the ending of whistle blower, Miles is shown helping Waylon escape the Asylum. Suggesting that at the ending of Outlast I, the Walrider probably came out of Miles to protect its host(is that a JoJo reference lmao), then killed off everyone in that room. Miles as the Walrider is still roaming around the Asylum.
I think miles is still alive, since the wallrider needs a living host, also at the the end of whistleblower the wallrider spared Waylon, so I think miles is controlling the wallrider
I like to think that miles is still alive because of the walrider, the two of them are like Eddie Brock and Venom, if miles gets injured, then the walrider can heal him and bring him back good as new. (Plus, after all miles has been through, he deserves to escape the asylum and have a happy ending)
Yeah. People don’t seem to remember how the Wallrider needs a *living host*, and how it has extreme healing properties. The fact that the Wallrider spared Waylon at the end of the DLC suggests that Miles is consciously controlling it.
If anything then because of that miles can post the footage Waylon sees it and then they work together to fully shut down murkoff leading to outlast trials but then I saw a video saying it will take place in the Cold War and my entire theory got wiped out

That's why both Billy and Miles can be hosts, and why after Murkoff seemingly destroyed Billy's consciousness the Walrider was still able to use Miles' mind and possess the bodies of ants. Miles seems to be violent but still having a basic sense of morality, since he prioritizes Murkoff; I bet he intentionally helped Waylon escape so that he could help spread the truth about Murkoff. In relation to that, I wonder if the true nature of the Walrider is some sort of hivemind/afterlife storing the consciousness of all the dead. The cult at Mount Massive was all about sacrificing themselves to feed the Walrider, and the Templegate cult also believed in sacrificing themselves to their 'god'. Personally I think Blake was a pawn used to defeat the Templegate God and turn it into another tool for the Walrider. After escaping the asylum and its Not clear at this Point if the Walrider and Miles are still connected at this point or the Walrider/ Billy has left him using His intact Body to reproduce the cells and nanobots needed for the swarm but Operating on its own.
Billy Afterwards destroyed several agents and working places of Murkoff. He came Back to posess His old Body , billys Body.
He traveled Back to His mother , understanding that she has Sold him Out to Murkoff and Kills her.
After an fight against Murkoff agents an explosion destroys billys physical Body once and for all. The swarm, still living because of Miles beeing alive possesed an colonie of Ants and making its way to Temple Gate in Outlast 2 .
The Walrider destroys the Radio Tower Murkoff used Back when they used the village as an Experiment , causing shit breaking down ... Leaving the people in total madnes and creating the endtime scenario.
Thats how Red Barrels closed the Story about it
@@boilinghippo4468 Billy being 'alive' in the comics feels more like a hint that the Walrider stores the minds of any host it has even after they physically die.
Basically, imagine Outlast 3 as Walrider Miles and his adopted demon daughter bringing the apocalypse onto Murkoff HQ.
That's depressing bruh i did all that filming and took all that evidence just to die 💀
I thought the same thing ahah
Thanks for the explanation I really needed it because I was very confused 😄
Thank you!
Nice video!
when they killed me i was bruh thats why i did this all time? all this documents?
Everyone else is here talking about the ending and wondering how to beat a level and I’m over here like:
*would he have gotten robotic fingers if he survived and made it out? Is that even a thing?*
Nice vid bro
why doctor warnecke send miles to turn off billy's life support when his soldiers could do
Has this guy even played the whistleblower
Cuz you can see milles in the doorway at the end
Miles got a stand
he went thru all that trauma and dies at the end
Love that outro
but "being the host" means the walrider uses your body, while your mind is dead, or is miles controling the walrider?
Think of it as venom and Eddie it makes sense doesn’t it? If not I’ll explain a bit more
@@michaelgarcia1990 not really, venom is from a totally fictional universe, plus venom is a monster or somethin.
Outlast is based on scientific "possibilities"
@@lukikas6900 well I’m not saying that walrider and venom are the exact same I’m just saying the relationship Miles and walrider Eddie and venom will turn out to be similar
If you are the host of the walrider can you control it
Yes, the person it chooses as it’s hosts has full control until the host is killed then the Walrider itself chooses a new one.
If warneky is the host why would the walrider look like miles at the end of Whistleblower? And how would miles control it if he was dead?
@@effedyourmom5033 warneky was never the host billy was the host then walrider chose miles after billy got killed miles body is dead but he is healing slowly by walrider and he healed in time to save Waylon at the end of whistleblower
1.47 there is no Mile's shadow. Like in the outlast 2. What can it mean?
Miles died after Chris thrown him and Blake died in the crash 🤔
@@michaelgarcia1990 sounds interesting if we wouldn't see Miles as a Walrider in the end of Whisblower and Blake in official comics
no billy looked dr like a father not the wallrider
Thanks bro
I don't understand why everyone thinks Miles is now the host when we know if the host dies, the Walrider dies? And if they killed Miles, the Walrider would've had to come out of his body before death if it were still alive. So it obviously possessed one of the soldiers or the Dr...right?
because we're not sure whether miles dies or not.
No One knows how the Walrider is acting with an Person who becomes the host On natural way and who was connected with the Walrider Cause of possesion.
Miles is the Walrider or the host, Its only unclear if he dies and the Miles-walrider is free to run or if the Walrider is keeping Miles alive or in a stage of,, alive "
The Walrider has a abbility to heel his host and prevent him from harm
because at the end of Whistleblower, it looks like he was the one who controlled the Walrider to help Waylon escape. I like to think that the Walrider somehow protected Miles from actually die from all the shootings and killed everybody before he went to kill Blair and help Waylon out to spread the truth 👁️👄👁️
At the beginning of the outlast whistleblower, there were soldiers holding a man and was trying to escape and strangling, is that billy hope? And not miles??
That was Eddie Gluskin, he’s the man you mostly see at the end of Whistleblower.
What was the song at the end
Look, i have a HARDCORE admiration for Miles, call it a crush, call it whatever, I agree with all of this, but for the sack of my easily broken, fragile ego, that only goes for fictional men, I will continue to believe Miles is alive. AND THATS ON PERIOD >:CCCCC
great vid tho, ilysm
lolol relatable af. I refuse to believe that he's dead since at the end of Whistleblower, Miles basically helped Waylon to escape so maybe the Walrider somehow managed to protect Miles from dying? 👀
IS the hero of this game is alive or dead?please tell me i am confused.hope he is alive.
No sadly Miles Upshur is dead :(
DEAD? 😢😢😢 I CANT STOP MY EMOTIONS.
Using Actionz I thought he became the host
@@UsingActionz hey dude, in a way the hero is Waylon because he's the one that contacted Miles and unknowingly, Miles saved Waylon when he turned the power back on. When Whistleblower shows Waylon being released from the chair and since the power is on, the Walrider was released. He was contained but when Miles turned the power back on, Billy was released. And we as the player, didn't know it. Waylon would've died were it not for Miles and Miles wouldn't have died were it not for Waylon. So really, they're both heroes in their own aspects. The only difference is Miles went insane while the other kept his sanity. Did you know about that?
@@UsingActionz technically he could be alive walrider probably healed miles after taking control of him and now miles is half himself and half controlled by walrider kinda like an Eddie and venom relationship
Imagine if the Walrider was in the third gam. Like actually killing it. Thatd be fire. Also Linkin Park fan i can tell
Point is that Billy gives mind to walrider, so tehnically body walrider while mind is Billy. So in the end insted of mind body connection. Walrider went full connection giving Miles shadow type body, something like Venom. Walrider can operate without host, but the problem is that Murkoff dont know how to control him as an individual. Thats why they gave WR a living host, that can operate under command while still be trapped and shorten with logical thinking. If Billy wasnt controled in mind section, he would kill whole asylum with ease. But since he is too dangerous to live like a normal human being, they had to keep him in globe with brainwashing/command videos, so he can operate as Murkoff wants.
Milles is not dead and he get the control of the walrider
He is dead in real world he is now waldmire
Miles mite have Ben the main character from whistleblower
Just younger
So if miles is the wallrider that means he's still alive right? But what about his physical body?
Dead same to billy
@@nootnoot2006 Miles is still alive. The end of whistleblower shows miles outline with a similiar jacket on the wallrider. He bonded with it perfectly.
@@someguyontheinternet.3318 i mean physical body is dead, remeber billy body in laboratory is dead so miles physical body is dead too in the comics they found miles body so it means miles is a walrider not a human anymore

After the 12 hour nap miles is at the underground lab and Waylon is basically where miles came in
Stay your not gonna leave me.
I wonder if miles is kinda like Eddie he gets killed but then gets taken by venom (walrider) and is basically alive again so my theory is that miles is alive but walrider is what keeps him alive as soon as walrider gets out ☠️☠️☠️

Ok I'm not sure if you're still reading comments but I have a question: If Miles at least ate 15 bullets he must've died, so basically Miles isn't the host anymore. Then why can we see Miles as the walrider in Whistleblower?
Wrong
He is the host
@@leonreidenbach7106 ye but how can he be the host after dying?
@@utterderc 3 months late, but it’s implied the walrider can regenerate wounds. in this case, i’m guessing that the walrider regenerated miles

He did not die
The engine is able to keep itself alife
The nanobots are able to force the body to produce and reproduce cells what also means that it can heal its host.
After the events of the first game the Comics Red Barrels published that the walrider came back to posess Billys Body. If Miles is alive or not isnt quite sure nur but i guess he is cause some Murkoff Agents came to his house to take a look at him quite some time after the Events in the asylum.
Billy kills his mother and the Murkoff Agents but gets his body destroyed
The walrider overtook a colony of ants and marched to Temple Gate and destroyed the radio tower of Murkoff which caused final madnes among the villagers and causing the imagined end time cenario
Theory: when the sub titel say ”Gott im himmel. You have become the host” firat part is in german and it means “God in heaven, you have become the host” . And who is German? Dr. Warneckie. I personally do not believe Walrider Miles sees him as a father.
gott in himmem means god in heaven
Actually listen walrider is swarm of nanbots okay .. it doesn't have human feelings
Walrider didn't kill wernike since billy was the host who thought wernike is his father so now he's dead so miles as host killed them took revenge i am sure literally Evryone down there is dead and only walrider is alive
Nice. Eden Music.
So I did all that just to die.
wait miles died nd he shouldnt b th host cz he died by a swat team
The walrider can control somebody who has gone insane and chose miles after all he went through he is definitely insane

i have no clue how outlast 2 ties into this
The big flashes of light that cause the people to go insane and the reason why your helicopter crashes was one of the experiments made by Murkoff
