i just went to the grocery story - $4.99 for a single bottle of antibacterial soap. was $1.99 not that long ago (mid 2021). i dont know how big families are doing it. i live alone, have no mortgage and a steady govt job, and i still find myself picking and choosing what to buy at the market when i go, otherwise my bill will be over 100 a week just for myself.
