    I know the only way to grow is to stop using roman sounds but it is truly difficult when you are trying to learn a Korean at the age of 54. You along with Miss Vicky are truly helping me with my studies. I have for the last 3 weeks been only watching your lessons. I get it so much faster. Thank you for all you do.

    Incredibly effective lesson and teaching style. I was really struggling with separating the sounds of the Hangul until watching this. I kind of got the difference from using the nearest English equivalent, but now you've shown how to shape the sound, it makes it a lot easier to pick out the different syllables. Great having a quiz at the end, and found I got the answers from the mouth shape as much as the sound, so hopefully that means this is sinking in already. Thank you.

    Hey !! You are doing great but I m still confused about where to separate syllables For example, I saw the name "Hyuna" and tried to write it as 혀나. Later when I checked myself I found out it should be written as 현아 instead. I guess I'm confused about why the ㄴ is tacked on to the first syllable. This happened to me many times

    • @koreanfriendhailey
      @koreanfriendhailey  3 года назад +20

      ohh that is a very good question!💕
      It is because front syllable sometimes affects the syllable behind!
      like 현아 - 혀나 / This rule is quite complicate if i go deep!
      In short, ㅇ has no sound so ㄴ in 현 goes back when we pronounce!
      I am going to make videos later about that! Ishita Joshi☺

    • @doni8174
      @doni8174 2 года назад +3

      @@sujantamang9075 maybe i arrived late, but i think it is because Hyuna is a name that comes from an already made syllable (현) and then the A is added, so, you have to put ㅇ to add only the sound of the vowel
      that is why it is 현아 instead of 혀니
