Ofc this is years down the line, but this video was helpful for me bc we just got cellular shades and I couldn't figure out how to raise or lower them (which is a pretty simple/silly problem). Watching through and seeing the bit about the lock mechanism helped me figure it out, thanks very much!
Thank you so much for this video. We were looking at them online but had no idea how the cordless would work. What a wonderful concept of cordless and the honeycomb/double honeycomb features!!
I enjoyed the tutorial especially that Im contemplating buying the honeycomb for my two front windows. The motorized version really intrigued me because I have real windows to cover and I like the open from top and bottom option if I can in two of them. But I am curious if the price of it is reasonable.
"Keeps cooler in the winter, warmer in the summer" I presume you mean the other way around. It would keep you warmer in winter, and cooler in summer, which is what people want.
For general cleaning most manufacturers recommend a light suction vacuum cleaner for the day to day cleaning and ultrasonic cleaning from an approved cleaning company for the deep cleaning.
''It has an open air design which traps air, makes it more difficult for energy to transfer from one side to the other'' You forget to mention it also traps dead bugs and flies in the middle as well and makes it difficult to clean them out unless you have compressed air to blow them out from one end to the other. My buddy has these and they were full of bugs and without air to blow them through, not much you can do. Not something you would really think about until you see it with your own eyes and read about in a honest review. Also ''retracts back into the headwell, keeps a nice clean look'' Really eh?? Is it just me or does this stuff not bother you. At 3:09 doesn't look very clean to me, looks crooked, and thats on a fairly narrow shade, imagine how that would look on a much longer heavier shade. I just thought i'd mention that to the folks looking at these and wanting to hear some of the cons as well. I don't mean to sound rude or negative, but these kinds of things pick my ass. Great review, but I personally prefer good ole fashion roller shades. Straight and true, clean and reliable. Grab the chain on the side and pull.
which one of these shades can be put on a window that does NOT open (fixed window), and at the SAME TIME which can be put WITOUT any drilling holes (under the rubber gasket if the window does NOT open, or can be put/clamped over the window frame, which means that the window opens) ??? If you do a motorized version that has 2 portions (shade/blackout) and can be mounted WITHOUT screwholes, it will sell like crazy in my opinion !!!
Cellular shades is one the upcoming trend and this type of curtains are really good in quality as well and if anyone want high quality window coverings at low price then recently I visited and like this site and I found a useful content over there and that site www.theblindspot.biz/ .
The Hunter Douglas Duette Architella honeycomb shade or the triple honeycomb are best for sound absorption as well a keeping heat in your home in the winter and keeping it out in the summer. What is ultrasonic cleaning
Thank you, really cool
How do they hold up in humidity
What happens when kids get to them? how resilient are they to damage? and is it possible to clean them?
Sergey K I bet they attract a ton of dust. But they appear focused on HVAC and sound applications.
What do you mean by kids getting to them? Teach your children to take care of things and how not to damage them.
does it trap air or it a-come already with trapped air, inert gases, maybe?
