- Sometimes you just need that little bit extra to stay safe. This can take many forms, but they all have a purpose.

shoving a sticker in the offhand of mages/archers is so insanely good. 1 RT for a chance to take zero damage is mega worth.
I had never thought of that before you mentioned it in a prior video, you've helped make this nigh-impenetrable game exceedingly accessible to me. Thanks so much!
Glad to help, and it's a setup that helps even later with the one handed elemental bow and Dragon Fang synergy. You get the counter poison, you get the Parry, it's a fun synergy.
there's a lot to digest when it comes to a units offhand. imo if anyone is unsure it's a pretty safe bet to give them a shield or a dagger and you did a great job in explaining why. nice video!
Thank You, glad to help!
2:18 Captain America would like an apology. As well as Braum The Heart Of The Freljord.
@@quickpawmaud huh?
@@CoffeePotato you said it is dumb to run into battle with just a shield.
I just wanna dual wield tower shields. Not for any purpose. I just want to do it. And i did it. Regretfully
That slight defense bonus though 👌
the long awaited video!
Hope it helps!
shields are cool, they can add extra type/element resistance + the almost guaranteed knockback of a shield bash has helped so many times
brb: checking each of my 2-weapon units to assign the one with better stats/attributes to dominant hand (i remember one of my clerics has caldia & a wand.. "why isnt his spell range increased?")
We've all done the wrong slot range increase, I forgot to mention that, right, dang it!
@@CoffeePotato funny thing is i have at least 2 magic units that wield a wand & book, tried to get greedy with extra spell range
When using a blowgun for the stats does it have to be the primary weapon to "use" all the stats? like a beast tamer with blowgun/axe would theoretically outdamage Axe/blowgun in early game with the provided stats being higher with the blowgun?
It would be active when the weapon is involved, so the axe wouldn't have those bonuses when attacking itself.
Weird question if I may: as shield are considered weapon with attack values, does shield work with dual wield (or double attack) ? As in an attack with the weapon follow by a shield bash.
And I'm curious about the triple combo you spoke of (with mighty strike + dragon slayer) as I had that idea as well.
Shields specifically don't use skills, making them useful for "banking" those skills for later. They attack normally with a Knockback of it's possible, but otherwise count as their own separate attack.
The shield manual
But the team was a shield automatic 😮
