for real but i think the real match up should have been marco vs akainu (the only commander of wb pirates who can resist infront of akainu unlike ace) , ace vs aokiji because ace got a fruit advantage , kizaru vs jozu because diamond can reflet light and if vista wasn't fighting mihawk the whole arc he could have probably help the others and whitebeard vs sengoku , just miss match up for garp.

Makes me think Mihawk may actually be able to cut diamond. He just wasn't serious about it, and Jozu wasn't his intended target. Also, the reactor that says Jozu is a nobody who deflected a warlord's attack lol Jozu was a division commander on an emperor's crew, that's not a "nobody".

That was a popular fan theory, but that seems unlikely now. We already know most of his crews DF's, and especially the ones that seem like they'd fight against Zoro. Unless, BB can also give his crew multiple DF's? Or he adds someone new, who we haven't seen yet?

Marineford is good but it also hasn't much sense. Mihawk try to hit Whitebeard, fail and he stop... Then there are a lot of inconclusive fights. Strong character prefer fight against weak marines and pirates. However its obvious that the diamonds are not enough to stop Mihawk. Jozu used his ability plus the armor haki
How does it not make sense? You're acting like Mihawk was trying his hardest when he clearly wasn't. It was pretty casual, not even a named attack. Mihawk doesn't have any real beef with WB, he just wanted to throw out an attack. The only "problem" with Marineford is that sometimes it seemed like some characters were standing around doing nothing. When you have that many characters that are that strong and that fast it's impossible to write it to make 100% sense. Certain things happen due to plot.
