I went shopping at Fry’s, the Kroger family store here in Tucson . The first Wednesday of the month is Senior Day and we get an additional 10% off our total purchase. I only shop for sale items. The cash register calculates savings from sales, then the 10%off. I was able to save 41% on my order of 21 items.

@@bobbissell2910 I only shop for SALE items. The cash register calculates the amount saved on sale items , then calculates the 10% off. The TOTAL Amount saved , for me, was 41%.
Rounded off… I paid $121 for $208 worth of groceries. The cash register calculated that I saved 41% on the 21 items that I purchased 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ Math seemed ok to me.

Hi Danno and Jess, Great Video! Last Friday I bought the boost 1 month membership for $7.99. I got all the boost discounts for the bread, flour, sugar, candy etc. and then on Oct. 1st and pumped gas with a $1 off per gallon. I just might pay for that boost yearly.
The east coast port strike makes it 100% necessary to stock up on bulk foods with a good shelf life. The Iceberg has been hit now.

Good morning sweetie, I hope yoy have a good day. I was in Vicksburg area a couple weeks ago visiting my family. Seeing magnolia trees was wonderful, wished it was in blooming season. I wish they grew in Ohio.

@danniemcdonald7675 Good Afternoon Dannie, I have been in Ohio for about 31 years after serving in the Army. I love Ohio but I miss Mississippi. It is hard to explain Mississippi to people ( the cudzu over everything), never thought I would miss the culture. I hope you are well and safe.
Going to get a few things today at Kroger. I love those boneless pork tenders. I love putting them on biscuits for homemade breakfast biscuits with egg cheese and we enjoy them grilled on a griddle with a baked potato or French fries
I'll be hitting up Kroger tomorrow. Thank you helping build my list. The time is NOW to get as much on our shelves as we can before things get really bad with this strike. Thank you as always Danno.

The young people in my family love the vegetable pasta and Kroger's is really good. Their frozen tortellini and ravioli are on the buy 5-get $1 off and it is good,(esp the tortellini.The Rana is really good but crazy-priced.)

@LyndsayBeseau oh absolutely, it's mostly the coastal community that needs the most help, our National Guard is ready to roll with hurricanes, they have a base camp in Perry and other states like TX have sent their guards too. We have recovered all electricity in Gainesville as of today and Cedar Key has loads of volunteers & water & sewer are back on, we have several teams of different areas from across the state that did not get impacted as much helping all over from restaurants cooking food to utilities, our churches are set up to keep supplies and people fed, we will have things up and running before you know it, except those who lost homes near the ocean.

Glenn Beck's charity, Mercury One has large aircraft and multiple helicopters (big ones) flying in supplies in coordination with The Cajun Navy who has been on the ground since shortly after the hurricane hit North Carolina.
They are also assisting in Tennessee and other states affected.
Hazelnut creamer fan here! I buy 4 to 6 and freeze them! Works great, unless I forget to move one freezer to refrigerator 24 hours in advance

So glad to see all your bargains. If we had a Kroger I sure would be restocking those deals.. I know you aren’t at or speaking about Walmart on this video but I just wanted to let you know what I’ve experienced just last night and today. I have home delivery for my basics from Walmart. That way I can shop the specials at other stores. Last night I placed my order for today’s delivery. Walmart will not let you order bread, milk or eggs. The app said in store only. So I took those items off my list . This morning I received a text stating that there were 12 different items that they (Walmart) cancelled from my order. Now we have 4 super centers that I can choose from and 3 markets. I cancelled the entire order changed super centers and I’m in the process of waiting for the delivery. I’m curious to see how many items I won’t get. But all is not lost, I went to Aldi earlier today and picked up everything on the list . What comes from Walmart will go into my pantry stockpile. Some stock at Aldi like basics especially toilet paper and paper towels here are low… milk and eggs at least they have them… but in all fairness local people are buying and helping out family and friends in the western part of our state. So for now it’s just one shopping trip at a time… the adventure is slowly becoming more like work
I just purchased from Safeway, Land O Lakes butter for $2.99 each, but I was limited to two but that’s OK. It’s in the rotation with the rest of them in the freezer.

Stock up on anything that is imported (things like coffee, tea, sugar, apple juice, Kerrygold butter (from Ireland), canned corned beef/corned beef hash etc..) Unfortunately, most fresh fruit is imported during off season.
I can't remember which post recently discussed the price of eggs, don't have time to search😀. I spent over $11 two weeks ago on a 36 pack at WM. Today it was $8something. I actually bought a 60 ct. box for$15.81. Pretty sure it was close to 20 last time. Salt Lake City area.

Huge run on TP and papertowel, paper plates and napkins again. Michigan costco sold out today in first 30 min! It was NUTS! I was there for dog food and water but grabbed a pack out of sheer confusion
Some people have FOMO, so they see others doing it and think they should too. People can live without
Tp and papertowels... most of that is made here in us already which is even more comical to watch these people at the stores. Lol.
@owlout1 hubby has always had a genuine fear of not having TP and 2020 was not the driver of his fear lol so it's easy to get drawn in. We already had a pack but hey, why not 2 lol
TP and Paper Towels are mfg in the US and is transported to the stores by trucks. No need to buy out the stores....js

I found myself using a coffee filter while having to ration my TP in 2020, one evening.. .. lol... to add another layer to the costco and sam's.... it is "snowbird" season, in some States , to be starting... so there will be "extra" people coming into some towns shopping. stay safe out there!! 😊

Always enjoy your videos that are a great help with my weekly grocery shopping. I wonder if all Krogers advertise similar items in their weekly offerings with the exception of some dairy, meat and produce. I signed up to take advantage of the digital deals almost a year ago and I have to say that here where I live in Mishawaka , Indiana the selection and number of food related digital deals in the ad that just broke Wednesday is probably the least I have seen lately.

you should do some research on Helene and the tiny NC mountain town of Spruce Pine. It has a mine which produces some high quality quartz that chip manufacturers fawn over ... and include it in one of your coffee rambles. just sayin'.
Broccoli cuts were on sale 4 for $5. Kroger vanilla bean ice cream was on sale 2 for $5. I’m happy with my deals.

Went to Smith's (our local Kroger) this morning, and all the small Kroger Salads were gone. The produce mngr told us it was a recall for Listeria. Something about the lettuce. Anyway, we do not often have issues here in NV that others have, but this was a new issue I had not heard about. Las Vegas area of Nevada.

To each their own. I won't be boycotting Kroger. To many fantastic deals to be had and their clearance section is (majority of the time) a goldmine. My last score were those 1-lb packages of Land O Frost turkey/blk ham combo for making sub's.(normally close to $6 priced at $2.15 each. Best by date of Jan 2025. Hind sights 20-20, now I wished I had bought more than the four that I did.
