OMG....you HAVE TO know Leigh Anne! 😅 Leigh is a member of one of the biggest girl groups of all time called Little Mix (from the UK). They won the X-Factor UK in 2011 and after a decade long successful career, the girls decided to take an indefinite hiatus in December 2021 and focus on their solo careers. They are massive outside the US, but for some reason, they didn't get much recognition from the American audience. 'My Love' is Leigh's 2nd second single, after 'Don't say Love'. She's a great vocalist (this girl can SANG), can rap, owns her own brand called 'in a seashell', and is just a wonderful human being. She's married to a footballer Andre Gray and is a mom of twins.
Being a part of one of the most successful girl groups in music history, Leigh opened up about her struggle of facing racism and colourism in the industry and also shared how she always felt that she was the least liked member of the group by fans because of the color of her skin. Leigh has Barbadian and Jamaican roots. She made a documentary in 2021 called "Leigh Anne: Race, Pop & Power" where she addressed these issues. She also started 'The Black Fund' charity to support young black people to pursue the career they're interested in.

Leigh-Anne is Jamaican heritage and is from the UK. She was in a group called Little Mix who won the XF in 2011. They were active from 2011-2022 and were hugely successful broke girl band records worldwide but they took a break last year and now Leigh is the first to go solo. This is her 2nd single which is a continuation of her debut ‘Don’t Say Love’. She also had twins 2 years ago!

Thank you for reacting to Leigh-Anne. With respect you have not heard of her before because you live in the USA the worlds biggest bubble. She is a member of a girl group called Little Mix who are English. They are the second biggest selling girl group in history. They have had 2 albums in the top 10 of US Billboard and another about no12. They have toured in the US with Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande and sung with Taylor Swift at one of her concerts and appeared on many late chat shows. They have a world wide fan base called The Mixers. Please look them up on YT and maybe do a reaction. God Bless.
lol "the world's biggest bubble," I'll try not to get offended from that😬. I think the actual reason I didn't know who Leigh-Anne was is because I don't really listen to pop music. Instead, Afrobeats is one of my favorite genres which is why I decided to check this particular song out. Also, I am only 21 which is probably a bit younger than Little Mix's fanbase. Hold up I’m American and been a fan of them since 2015 . They have a lot of American fans but not as much as they should because their label screwed them . Don’t blame America blame their team
@@glitrcamillelittle mix ladies are 30-32 their fanbase has a mix of young and the same age as them and most definitely your age. I’m American and that bubble comment wasn’t necessary lol. It’s not our fault their team screwed them for one direction and fifth harmony 😅 I however am a fan of them for years and I’m glad you like Afro beats because that’s what Leigh Anne’s album will have alot of. She is my favorite from the group.
omg💓💕thanks for all the information! Hopefully the original commenter sees your response as well. Leigh-anne's definitely caught my attention with this drop and I'm excited to check out her album. You're definitely right that their fanbase includes people my age. I think I'm just coming from the perspective that I was 13 in 2015. And a lot of the artists I know a lot about are people who were really popular around the time I was 16-17 years old, so like 2018 ish. Artists that come to mind are people like Harry Styles (as a soloist), Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, and Blackpink to name a few. Basically I'm just saying that Little Mix's height of popularity was slightly before my time so that's why I might not know as much about them as the average person. I wasn't really mature enough to be able to follow their come-up story, see the tabloids, watch their content, or purposely listen to their music at that time. Hopefully my perspective makes sense. 💖💖 That being said, I am happy to play catch-up and listen to what I've missed! That's kinda the beauty of having a reaction channel where people can share their favorite content with me and give me valuable information. And Leigh-Anne's really impressed me with this release. I love this sound for her and I also love how she chose to collab with a powerful female afrobeats artist to really honor the genre. Sending love✨✨ GLITR ✨✨
@@glitrcamille I’m so happy Leigh Anne is free from that fandom tbh most of them were brutal to her and racist to the point where she lost her confidence and made a documentary about racism in the music industry and her experience in the group . She has gained her confidence back in 2018-2023 and even more now by herself. Love them all but Leigh is the whole package.
