I want to thank you for showing for free how to use Microsoft Access 2013. Wow! what a difference it makes. I have a home small business and I was trying to find a better way to be efficient and have everybody through a query. This is fantastic. The way you show and teach is incredible. Thank you so much for given your time to so so.
Thank you for these videos. I am taking online classes and I am doing a project which requires using Microsoft Access. I have the books, but I don't get it! I need to be walked through. You are walking me through exactly as I need you too. I might actually get this pass :-) Thanks again!

Thank You so much for this "QUICK START" tutorial...we are creating a database for our church and this has been a great help. Just with this short tutorial we can create an accurate membership roll to be used for all occasions. Thanks for getting straight to the point without all the "lecturing"! I plan to watch the full tutorial soon!
Hi Rick. I followed your convention and named the table MrT (adding a 'T' to the end of the table name, as you suggested). Unfortunately, every time I open the table now, the A-Team theme plays. How can I rectify this issue?
I am glad too. You are great the way you are teaching. I use to be an IT from Montreal 25 years ago but I am so far from technology that is nice to go through everything. I register for level 2 to 9. Then I think I might go to the expert level. I love creating and pass most of my time with computer.
This was really helpful; you did a great job clearly explaining the tasks and your pace was perfect. Thank you so much. You are an excellent educator. We need more educators like you. Thank you.
Great Tutorial, just wanted to refresh myself of main Access features and it perfectly did it. I am keen to go through all the 12 lessons now, as soon as I have little more time. Thanks!

Hi Rick, You have such an incredible gift! Thanks for sharing these tutorials. Can you tell me if I can build forms through Access that I can utilize online for event enrollment through my company website? Is it capable of adding a way to process payments? I am already ready to convince my boss to switch to access as our database but I know the above questions will follow my recommendation and I want to be able to relay the information accurately. Much gratitude, Liz
Thank you for your helpful video tutorial! You speak with so much clarity and articulation! What a pleasant surprise I got when I heard your accent. Finally someone who speaks English but even better that it's American :)
My pleasure. I'm glad you appreciate my accent. I'm originally from Buffalo NY, and of course we don't think we have any accent at all. I get people from around the world asking me to try to slow down because of my accent. Uh.... no. I am who I am. :)
In database theory, you will see the terms "attribute" and "tuple" used to describe "columns" and "rows," however in Access (and in almost every Access book I've ever read - and I have dozens of them) the terms are generally referred to as "fields" and "records," which is what I prefer for my lessons. Microsoft Access ITSELF refers to them as "fields." Just open a table and go into Design View and you'll see "Field Name" to represent each "column."
Thank you very much for the great tutorial, you are an excellent teacher and you explain your topic better than most of my university professors do. I am going to learn from all your videos to master Microsoft Access. I am not sure if I will have all the features that you cover, as my system only has Microsoft Office 2010. I will learn all that I can though.

Good video and thank you for taking time to share your knowledge with us, I could like to know which is more likely used to create databases over Access and MySQL and why?
Hi Rick - Watched many videos for MS access, but found yours simpler to my understanding, however confused somehow and need your help. firstly in between the video, you did open a main menu. Can i ask from where did you open it. Is it linked to this DB ? and from where can we access the main menu from here ?
Hope you can answer a quick question for me. With the new Access, I want to make a form/app with a data base; basically I am inputting market data selling and buying amounts and then it will compare all and tell me the best profits and where to trade them. I want to use access over excel because I want a nice gui that asks for the info and a nice place to input it. This is for a computer game. Now my question is After I create this. Is there a way to save it or convert it so others (friends etc.) can use it without having access? I thought I had read somewhere that access creations can now basically work like an app. This is my first time using access in about 15 or so years so wasn't sure about how it's working now. Thanks.
ronin51670 If you want to use all of the features of the Access desktop application, then you'll need to at least distribute your database with the Access Runtime: 599cd.com/XOJNSL - the alternative is to build an Access Web App which I don't recommend unless your database is REAL simple: 599cd.com/XAConWEB

Hello, I have a question... Can a full customer list be imported into Access?? If so, if I go to a few of the same customers every week... I have a date column, is there a way that I continuously add dates and notes to the same customer with out losing previous dates data???

How would I create/track multi-year projects? and when doing a search, how could the proponent's year of disbursement be easily identified, i.e.: year 2 of 3?

hi im hoping you can help me. ive created 2 tables on my database on ms access. one is 'customer details' etc and one is 'completed' sales/deals. what i want to do is keep all records of customers for cars in the main big 'customer details' table and any completed deals from that table automatically added to the 'completed' table. i want to have a button or option like completed on the end of the table maybe like a yes or no column. by which i could click and it would automatically add the relevant fields i want to the completed table. i would like to know how i can go about that.
