Down in a Hole, full-length (Alice In Chains guitar cover)

- Upload date: July 15th, 2013. My rendition of Alice In Chains' "Down in a Hole", off of the "Dirt" album...I did this as part-request/part for myself. I did sort of a mix-and-match near the end/the final chorus in terms of bouncing between leads and rhythm (as well as distorted and clean parts for that matter), I also put the amp's phase shifter to a nice use for the clean verse. Hope you enjoy!

dude you are freakin amazing! Alice in Chains is one of those bands that has fantastic guitar riffs but this cover is just too good! I have listened to this about 10 times and I still cannot get over how amazing it is If you can please do a cover of no excuses! either way ROCK ON MAN!!!!!
Antonia Killiany Thank you very much for the compliments, truly flattering! :) As for your request, I'll certainly take it into consideration, although the next Alice in Chains songs I have in mind for my 'to-do list' will most likely be "Heaven Beside You", along with "Nutshell" too (since that has been another I've been getting requests for over the past few years).

Thanks, yeah that clean tone was kind of accidental, I was just messing around with the amp's effects one day and turned it to the phase shifter and thought "you know, this would work well with a song like Down in a Hole"

What's the model of that guitar? I've seen Kirk Hammett playing that model in 92.
It's an ESP KH3, which is indeed a Kirk Hammett signature model (a lucky find and auction win on ebay)

I was going to add there miiiiiight be a tiny touch of delay too now that I think about it (it has been a while, and I didn't start writing down what exact tones/settings I used for songs until a year later in 2014).
