Also, glad to see you are visiting my home state of NC, can’t wait to see what you have in store, so many beautiful areas to showcase! And spooky ones too!
I have family in Andrews love all the locations you went to. Love you guys
This entire scene is how I imagined America to be, as a child in 1980s SE London. Everything so sunny, shiny and like you must feel as if you live in a movie.
i wish ours had the salad bar
I miss the salad bar!
Wow! Pizza hut was so awesome! So breathtaking views of Smoky mountains!!!
Wow what a great video Love that old Pizza Hut used to have one here in Maryland they finally tore it down now all Pizza Hut‘s around me are delivery or carry out only
Wow TJ, Ya don't see to many of them anymore. They had better have a sit-down Pac man machine in there!
the fact that Pizza Hut brought back the nostalgia with the Classic locations, is just so amazing! Unbeatable aesthetics! Those red cups are so iconic! What a perfect day with all the beautiful Smoky Mountains scenery, and cool dams! So peaceful, and relaxing. Epic adventure. Love the Taco Bell too.
I already teared up seeing everything and the memories flooding my mind...THEN the Cure playing in background ❤️🔥
I love how authentic they kept the Pizza Hut must have been nice feeling the 80s vibes in there!
I miss the old 80s Pizza Huts and particularly their pizza buffets. Grew up with one exactly like this by where i grew up
Hello from Gatlinburg TN Smoky Mountains!! This is great as traffic is piling OUT after a busy weekend here in Gatlinburg 🐻🏞️🌄.. Great job as always Jay
Me newest haunted house video - the scariest in America: ruclips.net/video/tnUTAXQEOxM/видео.htmlsi=6oCWzt2jrG8JmFca
Stepping back in time to childhood Pizza Hut with the red plastic cups ❤ beautiful scenery in NC as usual.
There's also a classic Pizza Hut in Hillsboro, OH
Wow! What a beautiful day you two had. I thoroughly enjoyed that. What a perfect way to cap off that busy weekend.
Disappointed in Pizza Hut ever since they got rid of their thin and crispy crust that had some kind of delicious pizza crust ingredients, they haven't been the same since......smh.....😢😢
WOW....Classic Pizza Hut, and a movie location up on 129 on Calderwood Lake up at the Cheoah (Fugitive Dam), that's right 1993's "THE FUGITIVE", starring Tommy Lee Jones, AND Harrison Ford, Fugitive Bridge As it's called, takes place up there, down from the Topoco Lodge, the famous train wreck and derailment scene are still up there, and are still visited by tourists. surprised you may are may not have known this while being up there.
Hope you might stay around Pigeon Forge for next weekend for Smoky Mountain Terror! September 9-10 Come see my booth if you make it. :)
The original Pizza Hut is on the campus of Wichita St University, no longer operational.
I wish Pizza Huts were like this now. There is no salad bars. And no pizza on cast iron. If you are lucky to dine in, you get a bottled drink and boxed food.
My father and brother hiked the Appalachian trail in 1986 from Georgia to maine. My father was 60, and my brother was 26. It was what my father wanted to do after he retired. My brother went on to hike the continental divide trail and the pacific crest trail.
That Pizza Hut remembers of the day they built one in my neighborhood. I was there pretty much every day , We walk there with my friends ready to get our personal pan 🍕book it Thanks for sharing this and have fun 😊
Love the Super Supreme pizza at our local boring store ...they tore down all the originals here in Michigan but their bread sticks are always like cardboard and boring...
Love the Smoky Mountains and everything about them...favorite area is Pigeon Forge where we always plan ahead and rent a cabin for a week...we love that but last time we stayed up high on mountain and we had to park sideways in order for our truck not to roll away even with the parking brake on ...treacherous way to park our truck
Now THAT is how you bring back classic restaurant chains. Bring back everything people originally loved about it. I love the Pizza Hut Stuffed Crust pizza. The cheese baked inside the crust. BANGING GOOD! 🍕🍕
We lived in th Blue Ridge area until we moved to the Smokies, I was a medic in Murphy too and still work there part time every once and a while as a medic. Stay safe in Murphy, it can be a little wild when the sun goes down.
Loved Pizza Hut! Went there a lot growing up in the 80’s
Pizza 🍕 hut classic nothing more iconic
We go to the Sylva/Franklin/Whittier area every fall. Heaven on earth.
Tampa jay the singer Steve harwell died at 56
Beautiful views Jay!
Thank you for the memories of the vintage Pizza Hut restaurants! It was so great to see again. I heard there’s one still in Myrtle Beach area, not to sure. We used to stop at that one for years on our summer travels☀️. The pitchers of Soda they would bring out were always my favorite 🥰
Pizza Pete is the name of the mascot
That Pizza Hut is very cool! Brings back memories of my parents taking me to the local hut back in the day. Wow, what amazing scenery. Thanks Jay.
Get in number 1 like 😅
Hey Jay & Cris love the classic Pizza Hut. Beautiful mountains and river. The waterfall is amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Good old Pizza Pete! 🍕Love Nantahala, been down that river numerous times. Have a blast, guys.
Remember When Pizza Hut had all That Awesome Nickelodeon stuff back in The late 80’s and early 90’s? I think some of The Classic Nickelodeon/Pizza Hut stuff is still on EBay!❤️📺🎶👍🏻
Hi Tampa and Cris! 🙋We don't have Pizza Hut here they closed. Beautiful areas and scenery. Awesome video.
The Nostalgia feeling Is kicking In… We still got a few In Arkansas also…. I love ❤️ growing up In the 1980s & 1990s as kid having & going to b-day & pizza 🍕 parties, those after basketball 🏀 & baseball ⚾️ games eats… I remember the Nintendo 10 games choice at the center of our childhood pizza 🍕 Huts…
I loved the whole video. I loved the 80s pizza hut and it's iconic lights above the boots, the mountains, the rivers, and the scenery. It's wild to think that 129 is also US19! I live right on 19 in palm harbor.
Who the heck is driving if you both are filming?!?!? That's helluva dangerous!!! But undeniable beautiful place.
Awesome video, as always! Beautiful scenery! Thanks for taking us along! 👁️ ❤ 🌮 🔔! And I love you guys!!
Jay, did you ever watch the show "the food that built America?" It's SO interesting! They had an episode about how Dominos, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell started!😎
You are So lucky to stumble on the old school Pizza Hut😍they were THE best! Some things should never change, Pizza Hut went down hill😕
NC is SO beautiful💜Miss scenery like that down here in FLAT, HOT Florida! Used to drive up to the Adirondacks growing up in NJ😎
Man Jay, I remember going to Pizza Hut in the late 1970's & 1980's when I played Little League Baseball... Weather we won or Lost... Pizza Hut!
Wow this is incredibly cool love old Pizza Huts such nostalgia 🍕
You all were about 1 hour Northeast of where my In-Laws used to lived in Murphy, N.C.!
I took a screenshot of those falls! Now my background screen!
I recommend checking out Cumberland Falls in Kentucky in the daytime AND at night where you see Night Rainbows!!!
Oh, and when will you POP the question? 😉

The Rivers Wild is one of my favorite movies as well. And yes, the Netflix remake is AMAZING!
I live in McMinnville Oregon and they closed our Pizza Hut classic here ...last year! So bummed😢.
I'm glad you guys got to go to one! Fun!
Thankyou for the fun! Julia aka Black cat
Fontana Dam was used in "A Walk In The Clouds" starring Robert Redford and Nick Nolte. Great movie in my opinion, a tearjerker.
You had me at 80's and Pizza Hut 😊 my childhood. The Pizza Hut near me closed completely in 2021. Sad.😢
Pizza Pete is the name of the mascot. It was so cool to see the classic Pizza Hut. Sadly, no locations out this way. I'll need to plan a road trip to check out a classic location.
There was one in Zephyrhills when I first moved to Florida in 2015, it lasted I think until right before the pandemic, but now it’s gone….The Stain-glass lights, the red cups, the checkered tablecloth, all very nostalgic to me, don’t forget a Pac-Man game near the bathrooms!
Although I think their pizza has changed, sometimes you’ll get a good pan pizza, my favorite is to get one and watch an old movie like ET or Goonies, that is the best! I’ll be doing that soon 🍕🎥🍿🥤
In high school, whenever we had half day, my friends and I would go to Pizza Hut for the All-You-Can-Eat Pizza Buffet. Hot fresh pizzas continually being brought out to the center of the dining area. Good times
You guys should whitewater raft the Nantahala River. It's scenic, fun, and not super technical. Would make for some cool content.
I love when u guys make it to my neck of the woods... when any of the 4 of u make it to smokies.. so i easy guided on the Nana and the pigeon river... we graduated the same set of hs... I guided 08 09 so we just missed each other lol... and anytime u guys want to go down the pigeon or French broad lmk.. so many hidden gems between Bristol and Knoxville lol... and 90% of rafts are blue and NFS or NRS... river are measured by cfs... Douglas damn on a real flood release u can take a 40min trip in 15 17 min. . Lol it's wild going 20 30 mph and most rapids are washed out but the class 3 4 become insane ! Great vid.. I gotta check out that store in Calhoun ga..Halloween mecca..
Very Nice and Relaxing, you can't beat mother Nature. Not even in today's electronic world😊
Pro Tip: Never get Taco Hell when rooming with a loved one! That said...that Pizza Hut!!!! OMG, that is so cool. I really miss the ole Pizza Huts and Meat Lovers was always my go to...and those bread sticks. What a great video!
There is one in my hometown (Virginia) checkered tablecloths, The salad , even a pizza buffet - all that - so cool. I am picky I don't eat Tampa Pizza Hut lol!
Love that area of the Smoky mtns! I’ve visited the Fontana damn area a couple times growing up in the late 80’s and 90’s, beautiful area! Done some hiking on the Appalachian trail near there and rented a pontoon boat one summer with my buddies parents super fun cruisin around and fishing on Fontana lake! If I ever left the mtns of Colorado I’d move back east to that area somewhere or north of there such a cool area👍
The cartoon man in question was named Pizza Pete and he sported a large cowboy hat as a chef's hat, a mustache, neckerchief, and an apron.
This cute little guy was the logo that came with everyone's pizza from 1958 all the way until 1969 when the chain adopted the red roof logo that's still seen with the chain today. While paper goods, such as cups and napkins, still featured the original logo into the 1970s, they're considered to be collectible memorabilia from the chain now.
While I never really got Pizza Hut much back in the 80's, I'd imagine it was much better then compared to now.
You’ve had a couple of my favorite things in that video, old-school Pizza Hut and waterfalls. And I’m always up for a trip to the smoky mountains. Thanks as always for taking us with you and I hope you have a safe trip.
Both you and Cris caught some amazing images in your videos! I live in North Carolina and have yet to see this❤️Thank you both! Safe travels!
I vacationed in western NC as a teenager. The second dam, by Tapoco is the Cheoah Dam, which was a filming location from The Fugitive. I've also toured the Fontana Dam and went rafting on the Nantahala. Thanks for filming this. It brought back memories.
Hey Jay ! The old Pizza Hut mascot's name is PIZZA PETE!!
TJ, thanks for the video. This is one of my most favorite places in North America. I am constantly amazed by the endless volume of crystal clear water that flows downhill -- both east and west. If you ever get the chance, drive the Tail Of The Dragon from Deals to Townsend on a rainy day. The lack of traffic will be a blessing after BBQ lunch at Deals. The rainy day of my trip had us stopped for a while near Townsend while downed trees were removed from the roadway.
Summer vacation as kid 70’s In Fontana cabins it’s so beautiful, love hiking trails , glad you got to enjoy nature 🤗
Good morning guys, I believe there is an old time Pizza Hut in Belleview Florida, hope you guys have a good time and have a safe trip back home

We didn't have pizza hut until the 1970s here in Tulsa oklahoma.
I work at a original Pizza Hut in Spring Hill, Florida. It has a salad bar. It was built in the 70's
My pizza hut is a throw back I think? Awesome video ❤Thank you 😊
Adam the Woo would love this 👍🏻🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕

Very classic pizza hut and maybe next time you guys go on a white water raft !
If you ever go to Pennsylvania you need to visit Bushkill Falls
80’s theme yet they have flat screen tvs mounted to the wall?!?! You’d think they would have the old school tube tvs instead
Hey jay thier is a super good park in North Carolina that has a lot of water falls it’s called south mnt state park and around old fort Nc. Called catawba falls.
Pineapple on pizza?! Why God? Unsub.
Old Pizza Hut breadsticks rule much ahead ➡️
funny i like in fl for 38 years then moved to flowery branch ga now in nashville , went by keepers creepers location literally a day before you /the woo too
Beautiful. I wish I had what yall have. No matter where you two travel, what you have together is the most precious. I hope to have that again some day. Stay safe
The Pizza Hut in Texas where I’m from did the same thing!
That Pizza Hut is just missing a Street Fighter arcade machine!
Enjoy the Smokies, if you go to Bryson City go see the road to know here and ride the train. Highlands is also a great lil town near that area.
Ate at that very restaurant..it was delicious and absolutely a spotless place.
I worked there in 80s when we had 5 minute personal pan pizzas !
You took me right back to my old traditional order at Pizza Hut … black olives, mushrooms and pineapple! Haven’t had it for years … and now I really want one! 😅
Jay the original mascot is pizza Pete😎🍕
Pizza the Hut (Spaceballs)
I saw one of these last week when in Providence, Rhode Island
