This and the "heaven" cover are LOVELY. Tell me how you are able to work out what Liz is singing. I could never figure out WHAT she is singing, but always loved her voice and the Twins.
@@aviewer2871 Thank you! I am not quite sure what she is saying at times but I try to mimic the sound she is making so that it closely replicates her words.
As I'm sure you know this but for others.. Liz used add Lyrics after the melody. So, what ever sounds words fit. Came out a masterpiece since focus was the movement melody on emotions, what's said was each own interpretation.
Well since it is as likely to hear Elizabeth sing some of these songs as it is to hear Peter Gabriel sing old Genesis songs we here are blessed. Please keep singing.
Cocteau Twins are my all time favorite band, and I was friends with them in the 90's. Most covers that I've seen and heard on RUclips are way off the mark. Your cover in in the top 2 that I've ever heard. Kudos. Excellent job.
Clear strong voice, everywhere I listening Cocteau Cover from both of you , is always a pleasure musicals and vocals, Liz is very difficult to imitate, but now is done and I guess, (Ivo) was a chalenge !!
I was really wary clicking on this video, because Liz Fraser is nearly impossible for anyone to cover. You have done her justice! I'm truly stunned, this is an incredible cover!
Didn't expect this!! You absolutely NAILED it. Probably the best CT cover online. I think Robin and Liz need to see this gem, someone send it to them asap :))
As a lifelong fan of Cocteau Twins, I must say you excelled in capturing the essence of all that is Cocteau Twins. Thank you for sharing this beautiful experience!
Hope you guys cover "Pandora" my fave by the Cocteaus, but honestly,if you never watched this video and only heard the audio, you'd swear it was the Cocteaus - its that good.
This was the first Cocteau Twins song I ever heard. It was 1994 and I was 14. It blew blew away. This rendition has massively impressed me. 🎉and I really enjoyed it 👏
Almost impossible to replicate, you do a superb job of it, I'm a heavy Cocteau Twins listener and fan I've also been listening to a lot of the groups side projects as well, would love to hear you sing more of their more challenging songs they have, not that this song by any means is easy to sing, im impressed! Elizabeth Fraser is a vocal acrobat, to replicate anything she sings is quite a feat!
I don't think I ever consciously noticed it before, but hearing the rhythm and electric guitar so clearly like this really brought out the rhythmic structure of this song, in 4 but the rhythm guitar is strumming in a triplet pattern, nd the vocal rhythm is playing somehow in the space between the 3/4 and 4/4! Very cool, i learned something new about this song from your cover, nicely done. :)
There is something a lot more mermaid-like and aquatic about the production that I really love. It gives it a new spin, while retaining the genius of the original song.
It's funny you should say that, because the chorus pedal I used for many of the tracks on this song is the Walrus Julia, which is built around the theme of an underwater goddess who imbues the pedal with its unique sound, haha!
If my words can carry any weight, I say that you could easily do covers of everything that Cocteau Twins released. Starting today, count me as one of your fans!
Wow! What an amazing cover of this track. Liz Frazer said herself that she made up a lot of the words for some of the songs. Carlos Hernandez referred to her as a 'vocal acrobat' , which just about sums it up. How you've managed to replicate not only her voice, but the 'lyrics' to this song, I just don't know .. incredible! ... and thank you!!!
I’ve seen other try and cover Cocteau Twins vocals and they either tried to make it their own unsuccessfully or used tricks to hide the fact that they couldn’t do the voice. It’s clear that you have a deep respect and understanding of what Elizabeth Frazer does and that makes all the difference. Just beautifully ambitious recreations. Thank you
This wonderful song always takes me back to an early evening walk along Fulham Road in Chelsea - London - on a Saturday night in December 1984 when I had "Treasure" playing on my Walkman..this is a marvelous version...I am walking that street again.
Just after listening to 'Summerhead' today, for some reason I searched "Cocteau Twins cover" and this was top of the results. I gave it a listen and was blown away. Truly, I was blissfully impressed. Serendipity? Perhaps. What impressed me most was that I really enjoyed hearing all that followed. I played each cover several times to soak them in. However, the REAL treat was hearing your original songs (on Spotify) once I plowed through your covers here. You really hit a nerve with all of us undernourished Cocteau Twins fans and I echo all the compliments. However, to my ear your are squarely in the genre, but absolutely have your own sound and the sound is fantastic. I look forward to more and I hope it is apparent that all of your hard work and talent are making a difference out here. Thank you.
Hey thanks so much! That is such a thoughtful and kind comment. We both really appreciate it! It means a lot to know that the music connected with you. Again, thanks very much!
Much respect guys,,,,,admirable and incredibly difficult to cover ,,, I were lucky enough to see them at the RAH iirc in the 80s so kudos for even attempting these covers and doing them justice,,,, Big need out there for a CT tribute band ,,,,,,J
If I were to start a career as a promoter for upcoming bands, I would grab you two, and get the backing, the financing, and the $$$$. You two seriously could go places within this rare and massively popular niche!

One of my favorite Cocteau Twins songs ever and this cover is amazing! Bravo!!
I have no idea how anyone can cover the Cocteau Twins, ESPECIALLY this song. But WOW. Well done.
Thank you!
This is so fine. I did not expect someone could do this song justice.
I surrender.... i came here just to insult the daring....but i gonna swallow my words. Excellent job!!
thanks!
Absolutely one of the most brilliant covers of artists that aren’t really even coverable!!!
Your smile at the end absolutely melts my soul!
@Ashen Ringlets
This is Truly Amazing. I am Blown Away by this. Thank you so much for this
Same here.... so happy to be a) completely wrong and b) stupidly unimaginative. This is incredible! And brilliant! We need more!
Well since it is as likely to hear Elizabeth sing some of these songs as it is to hear Peter Gabriel sing old Genesis songs we here are blessed. Please keep singing.
I love the just-a-room-in-our-house vibe that this magic comes out of
Hey that's how it is, we record at home! Might as well film it! haha thanks for lsitening!

Wow !’ I didn’t think anyone could ever sing this but Elizabeth Fraser . The first time I heard this song at 15 the sky opened up. The angels sang.
Let's not overlook the music. Your man has sone serious chops as well. Hats off to both of you.
haha, my brother. thank you!
Clear strong voice, everywhere I listening Cocteau Cover from both of you , is always a pleasure musicals and vocals, Liz is very difficult to imitate, but now is done and I guess, (Ivo) was a chalenge !!
This is really good. Cocteau Twins are my favorite band and not easy to cover.
Thank you so much.... my favorite band also

Thanks for keeping Cocteau Twins alive.. Folliwing

O wow.
Words can't express how incredible this is.

Beautiful, nailed it!
Thank you kindly!
Listening again. Shocked again by how good it is, especially with such a difficult song. Bravo to Ashen Ringlets.
Goddamn she NAILED those vocals.
Very good. I enjoyed.
Didn't expect this!! You absolutely NAILED it. Probably the best CT cover online. I think Robin and Liz need to see this gem, someone send it to them asap :))
Amazed
Wow! What a voice! Liz would be impressed.

Wow thanks for the compliment!
