This song always makes me cry. Reminds me of holding my now 30 year old when she was little. Cocteau Twins were the soundtrack of my 80s youth. Great cover!
A special and emotional song. Beautifully done. Heavenly. Angelic. Elizabeth Fraser's voice is so unique and other-worldly, and you do her justice. That is no small feat whatsoever. Skillful and artful vocals that fit with this song so perfectly, while being 100% your own unique voice. It's so well done, I can't even begin to describe it!! I can tell you really love their music. You guys absolutely nailed the dreamy balance of this track.. the guitar has that shimmering light brilliant sound that rings throughout Four-Calendar Cafe. This is one of the best Cocteau Twins covers I've heard :)
Same here... and I've seen the Cocteau Twins live many, many times (and have the t-shirts to prove it) but damn.... this is good, and obviously comes from a deep and abiding love of the originals. Fab_U_lous!
Attention this is is one of my favourits...very nice very soft very beautiful smooth nice effects, I was waiting untill the moment of the changing rythmus to make my comments and I listening it 3 time, and I am surprise, is very nice very agreable to listening, voice is so clear so right, also the chor is nice , missing perhaps a little more bass, but perhaps I was focussed to have the same effect as the original, the clarity of the voice let me forget the bass moment !
Wow .Amazing .I didnt think it would be possible to cover a Cocteau Twins song but I was wrong -you did it beautifully -every note & tone was right on . One of my favourite tracks -Ill be playing this alot.Loved your version of Ivo too . Love to see what Liz would think, her fans seem to all love it reading all the comments.
Excellent video 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 Even today, after many years, I still haven't seen any woman match the power and softness of Elizabeth Fraser's voice .....
Wow this is beautiful too! Thank you from a long time CT fan !! I'm about to check out Seekers...!! Next ....An Elan, Crushed or Sea, Swallow Me??...well I'm sure whatever you cover next will be wonderful, keep up the fantastic work, cheers! 💜
One of my favourite cocteau twins songs, well done for recreating it 👏 i always saw Elizabeth Fraser as a kind of hypnotic magnetic white witch with supernatural singing abilities .
I will keep coming back and will always anxiously await your next CT cover!! Your original work is a continuing of the band that gave up, but is soooo appreciated and awesome!!! Love!!
Thanks so much! We're finishing a cover of "Lorelei", all that's left are the vocals, which we'll be recording this week. Thanks for the support 777, you've been really great to us!
OMG!!!!!!! " THIS " is i think probally my ALL time fave by them.. its SO Hard for me to pick.. but its up there with Def TOP 5 of their music for sure!! THIS song.. Moves me in ways i can never.. ever be able to express in words! WOW!!! you are my new Hero !! x0x
I watched it or should I say listened to it again this time while cleaning up the breakfast mess and it's even better than before.. Keep it up kids 👍👍♥️👀
Wow. What a sensitive and pur(e) interpretation from both of you. Absolutely wonderful! The Cocteau Twins are on the same sacred ground as Marvin Gaye for myself and very, very few should ever cover their songs. You both have beautifully succeeded!
You have hit the voice and the music right on the nail! i love your stuff. X ive been a cocteau fan for ages, and most ppl or gorups that cover there music are ..hmmm.. not so good. but OMG! i really love your versions... we need an ALBUM! (or if your a cocteau fan an EP :) )
Oh my God!!! Found your channel by accident. You are absolutely amazing Ashen! You are the most stunning find of the last days. I wish you great creative success! From Russia with love, your 501st subscriber 😘
Alta qualidade na execução instrumental e belíssima voz... kisses from Brazil!
No worries, you're not alone, love them since "Garlands", and they constantly became better. This band is a live-saver for me, like "The Chameleons" and "New Order". And this cover version is pure bliss.
Awesome! I, for one, am gonna give some props to the guitarist...Robin used to wrangle some awfully beautiful sounds out of the guitar, and they are not easy to duplicte. You are doing a fine, fine job!
Ashen, me llenaste de lágrimas y emoción inesperada... duarnte esta cuarentena encontrate tan fiel a Liz, a Cocteau,, gracias.. formidable.. por siempre
The vocals on this track is superb........also the recording of the vocals is superb. Multi tracked vocals. do you use TRUE stereo guitar?.....i mean the actual CABLE that you plug into the guitar is stereo..... and the pickups are wired for true stereo?.....the it goes out to TWO separate valve amps ....mic'd up on seperate channels....? well done.
Outstandingly glorious!!! I’m cool with the actual Twins accompaniment! The original band overlaid vocals, hence the “Twins”. Band is fantastic!!! As well!!

I don't think even Liz sings her own songs as perfect as you do! amazing!
Liz had ultra amazing moments live but also some worse ones, Pur is one of the songs she sang super well in 1996 but this cover is awesome too :)
@@charliez077 i agree. I saw both :) the very worse and the very best. And when it was the best it was out of this world.
