I've listened to several people over the years and this is the most precise and concise understanding I've heard. Not only do I know understand more about how auto ads work but know how to manage them more efficiently. I have specific end goals in mind. Before It felt very muddy. Thank you! I tend to use them to gain visibility and to define the categories more precisely that the books reside in on Amazon. By the way, over the last year I've seen my auto ad spend skyrocket, more so than usual. Do you have any ideas on why? And why now? They're out of control.
Sam, for the auto campaign, if it targets books that click and sell our book. Do we put it in negative this product in auto and add it to the product campaign or do we let it run? Thanks for your feedback
Sam, you're genius! I've been waiting for this type of video as I started my KDP ad journey recently. Honestly, there are no clear instructions on how this ad console works. Your way of presenting the information is helping me a lot. By the way, how can I change the graph type on the console? Yours shows both two metrics as lines, but my console shows one metric as a line, and the other one as a bar. For example, sales and impressions. Hope you got it. Cheers!
This is really helpful. Do you have any videos on when to place certain keywords or ASINs into the negative targeting. I never know how many clicks i should let a book have before placing in negative section or alternatively how much i should let the cost go up before moving into negative category.
I do but that’s all within the Mastery course! Generally I would say once a keyword or product spends 2x that books royalties I’ll stick it in negative

Glad to hear it!! Have you got Twitter? If so drop me a DM (@samazonkdp) with a screenshot of your graph and I’ll be able to see what’s going on
@@samazonkdp No, I'm not on Twitter. I got IG. Would that work?

Hi, I found some ASINs among the Search terms of my campaign, shoul I add these ASIN to the negative targeting?
In my opinion yes if you are targeting them in an exact campaign
Awesome video Sam!
At 10.46 how might you change your bid for rest of search?
Is that just the default bid?
Yeah that’s just the default bud
Sam, I am still not clear what a default bid is! If I change my default bid does that change my other bids automatically ?
Thank you! 👍
Hi Sam. Just wondering, do you use only 1 auto ad per book at a time, or do you run a few different ads together with different bids, targets etc.
