    Rosenberg gets a lot of unnecessary hate imo. He's always shown love to hip hop culture, shed light on the culture, given credit and respect to the legends of the culture, etc. He's more for the culture than most of the ppl that slap him with the "culture vulture" tag because he's white.

      +NewNinetys I hear that. Rosenberg may be annoying but he loves real Hip-Hop. Ebro may be more about mainstream Hip-Hop than supporting the underground but at least he ain't as corporate as The Source.

    This was an amazing debate. Ebro checked his ass out of nowhere around that 34 minute mark, pretty much was like "nah I'm not letting that subliminal diss slide my G" lol. Rosenberg, I think you're great at what u do, but I don't think you're as powerful to the culture as you think you are.

      Rosenberg is one of the best dj's around when it comes to the actual music. he really cares about the culture, and a lot of ppl's favorite artists have great relationships with him because he wants the music to be good. he breaks artists, plays them late nights, shows mad love to the OG's, his podcast is dope....i mean what else can the kid do??

    I met Rosenberg this summer in Chicago he's a cool ass dude and I have tremendous respect for him. On the flip side of that I agree with Londell when he was talking about the age range of hip hop, a lot of people over my age of 30 years old are not really familiar with Rosenberg or even Ebro for that matter even if they are from NYC. They said Rosenberg been on Hot 97 for seven years, that's a whole different generation of hip hop. Take someone like DJ Red Alert who doesn't get any kind of props for what he has contributed to the culture as a radio personality, and like Rosenburg made a good point about DJ Enuff.

    • @bruceleeds7988
      @bruceleeds7988 8 лет назад +2

      +Antoine Rashad its like Londell said, the Source is the blueprint for which all great Hip Hop media is presented. Unsigned Hype and Quotables inspired freshmen list, no rating to this day is as iconic as the 5 Mic system, you can't say the 5 mic winners are not some of The Greatest artist's in Hip Hop, even if you don't agree on the particular product that won the 5. we are in the time of Hip Hop politics, The Source has always covered the politics of the culture now it is "cool" to do so. Complex's best work is Magnum Opus, all that is Source 101 reloaded. Source 101 was a section that covered legendary figures and art pieces in the culture. I could go on. The Source may not be important to YOU because it's a new day, you get coverage from elsewhere, just like you prob check Hot 97 interviews more than the music they play. BUT DON'T PLAY YOURSELF, The Source is still your fave media's fave media.

    Rosenberg has a deep love for hip hop. If he was black, y'all wouldn't give him as much slack as y'all do. Yeah he can be annoying af sometimes but you can tell he loves this shit and puts his heart into it.
