If the curtain is moving , something is behind it, you know it! You don’t have to know specifics you just have to know something that’s there.! the invisible alien gave himself away because the air around him was moving. His own agitation revealed himself. Excellent! I liked it thank you.
Shame there's no more explanation. What frequency of light? We can only see from ~380 to ~720 nm. Anything outside that is invisible to us. And it's not like it's because the human trusts the insectoid. It's gotta be the other way around to become visible. Oh right... It's just that the species slightly distorts the air like heat does. A slight ripple barely visible, but visible to us. That would explain why others cannot see him. Since our eyes have evolved to be of use during a hunt, we can see relatively small details in things that also move fast (men excel in that; women on the other hand are better at discerning shades of color). A slight ripple in the air may be invisible to eyes of a species that hasn't developed like a predator.
