Ummm, what? They're "setting charges" on a ship still in the air??? That's a damned good trick. Some SAMs or RPGs would be a bit more reasonable. Also, it's amazing a tank happened by at the exact right time to take on the war machine. Having some Javelins or RPGs (both anti-tank weapons) would be more reasonable. Not to mention, what happened to the idea of orbital bombardment? Whoever chooses these stories needs to find better written stories. Not saying invaders wouldn't use ground forces, but I would expect an orbital bombardment to "soften us up" first.
