- Hi guys, I know it's been a while since I've uploaded something on social media, sorry for the wait!
I took a nice guitar break back in the Holiday month of December and didn't really play much almost at all. There are a lot of things going on with me right now and I plan to come back more often to upload more videos.
Another thing I'd like to mention, is the reason for posting too many Vicente covers.
I don't want people to think I am in any shape or form just a "copy" of Vicente. I have said this before but the main reason (Other than liking his style and melodies) that I post Vicente Amigo tunes mainly is because I already know the pieces from students who ask me to teach it to them, therefore I don't have to put a lot of time to learn the piece in order to record and post it. I would rather use this time to finish my compositions instead.
This video was just an excuse to come back really, I hope you like it.
PS: I changed the tuning to 432Hz for the Graciliano to decrease the tension a bit, that's why it sounds slightly lower in tune despite having the capo on the 1st fret.

@@LucianoGhosn If I may ask... how did you change the tuning to 432Hz, Luciano?
@@PB22559 If you’re using an App, (GuitarTuna for example) you can go to the settings and go to “Calibrate” then set the Hz to 432 instead of 440Hz. Then all you have to do is tune.
Micro tuners like the one I use from D’addario also have this option much easier, by just adjusting with the arrows down until I get to 432Hz and then I tune.

Thank you Jack. I appreciate you writing your thoughts. I’m curious what you mean by tired from the covers? It’s all I can put out right now, until I record my album.
It’s very hard for a musician to keep surprising the audience with “new” material that often, because this is RUclips and I have to post very frequently so it’s impossible not to do covers.
This kind of comment discourages me to upload but unfortunately I have to try and look past it and continue to keep appearing frequently on people’s recommendations so they don’t forget about me. It’s a really hard balance, but it’s the way it is.

@@LucianoGhosn Hello Maestro, Thank you for your honest reply. The necessary of frequent content seems of course logic for me and the business called RUclips :-). I thought a lot about it and have some "ideas" how to make something different as "only" covers which I want to write down: a) your subscribers seemed to be very happy about your video in which you read and reply all comments including questions. Including speaking about your experiences on stage, with Luthiers and so on... maybe a video in which you appeal to your subscribers to write their questions in the comment-section would be cool b) doing content with other musicians in the way you play a Bulerias with El Esmail seems to be very "fresh" c) transcriptions/tutorials of extraordinary pieces as you did with "Poeta de la Mar" have been very inspiring. I hope that maybe this can be a little helpful for you. Your authentic and inspiring videos were the main reason for me to restart learning Flamenco Guitar after 25 years "silence". 432Hz está un poco sobrevalorado. La guitarra suena realmente desafinada.
432Hz is a bit overrated. The guitar really sounds detuned and out of tune.
The tuning is fine really, the reason is only for the tension until I get lower tension strings.
Out of tune ? Fff siempre hay alguien para decir tonteria y esta vez eres tu amigo q descances un ratito sin tu guitarra

Está desafinada especialmente la cuerda D (Le en mi sistema de Notación Musical Llana). Podría deberse a la tensión más baja (afinación 432Hz) y la acentuación flamenca (golpe fuerte) en la cuerda, que la dobla más!
It is out of tune especially D string (Le in my Plain Music Notation system). Maybe because of the lower tension (432Hz tuning) and the flamenco accentuation (hard hit) on the string, which bends it more!
