Ann Miller the best dancer in Hollywood's golden era. Rest in peace lady Miller! But still alert, and awesome as always, love her wittiness is unique. How sad she die of lung cancer, one can see in this interview she had problems breathing. Rest well, lady Miller!

This looks like one of the last interviews with Annie. I knew her and I knew she was ill around this time. What was the date? And where was this?

He was 5'9 according to most sources, but with heels she was taller; in Easter Parade she had to dance in flats; that might be what she is remembering.

Love Miss Miller, but as for Mr. Astaire, he was not short. He was 5' 10".

So that would make Ann Miller 5'10". Got it.

Fred Astaire said he was 5'9.5". You'll have to take his word for it.
"I asked [Rita Hayworth] how tall she was as I stood alongside her. This was always an important item to me because if the lady happened to be about 5 feet 7 inches minus shoes and came up to the set with three-inch heels, she'd be just a bit above my 5 feet 9 ½ inches. As we stood there, both in flat heels, I was easily three inches taller, and I told her I hoped she didn't' wear very high heels with me. She said quietly that she didn't think she had to."
      Fred Astaire
