Wow! I'm just playing this video over and over. Love the part when she says: I speak cars, you say I receive, they say i speak healing, you say I receive, God says "Die to yourself". And the mood seemed to change so much.
I've been listening to a lot of her poems over the last couple of days and I've been hit with the conviction of being selfish. It's so true, we continuously look to please others and what we can get from God instead of what we can give to Him. LOVE THIS!

Mark was a disciple of Paul; Paul aka Saul of Tarsus was "NOT" one of the Apostles called by the Christ of the bible. In the Book of Revelation chapter two verse two the Christ said there is a False Apostle that went to Ephesus. That Apostle was Saul aka Paul of Tarsus! Why do almost "everyone" believe this Paul was a true Apostle when Yesuah said he had twelve and one Judas was a devil. Not thirteen just twelve and only twelve just like the twelve tribes of Jacob. Last but not least do your salvation rest on Paul and his disciples or on the Christ and his? The confliction in the scripture is because this Paul; the real first Catholic Pope of the bible usurped the original work of the Christ.of the bible. The Christ starts out by saying "don't be deceived" !

I’ve found myself returning to this poetry numerous times over the past 3 years.
I don’t need feel good sermons. I need Truth. I need to feel convicted of my own sins and corrected. I need help from unapologetic men to show me how to biblically lead my family.
Feel good sermons profit me nothing. They leave me blinded by my own ignorance and my own sin and that is no way to become more like and closer to Christ.
I've watched this poem so much that I know the words smh! It touched my soul
Thank you Jackie for putting words to what I've been feeling for years. I mean "church" as I knew it was almost the death of my faith. Slowly but surely my faith is being rebuilt on the gospel of Jesus Christ, not on our traditions, not on shouting music, not on squaling preachers, but the GOSPEL. Now I'm thankful for the church I grew up in and I like the church I attend now, but for the longest time, I've been feeling like there's something missing out of our worship experience.

Since I started learning the word through a pastor who teaches the bible (which I believe was the way the Lord intended). I have learned so much in the last 7 years then I ever have during my time going to church as a young boy. I've learned that we as Black folks must a I repeat must stop with those "good ole time religion" traditions. We need the truth of the Word not someone shouting and foaming at the mouth repeating one versus for 20 minutes. A salvation message is good for the first time someone accepts the Lord. There is more to the Word of God than that. My Brother and Sisters I pray we as Black people study the Word as it was intended. Not shouting, singing, and speaking in "so called tongues" to worship the Lord.

Tounges are biblical the are not so called. They are not a black thing they are a Christian thing. The people that taught me to speak in tounges are white so please stop the ignorance

I had the honor of doing spoken word next to her, Ezekiel and Jannett Ikz and I was amazed. Great christians and Jackie Hill is my personal favorite. There is a thing or two in this piece that I don't agree with (because of scripture)...but I won't mention those things. This spoken word is great and I pray their ministry continues to expand and cut ppl to the heart! Glory to the King!
That was literally an astounding piece of work. Not only was the delivery flawless, but the message was clear and held nothing back. I have never heard of this young woman before, but I certainly hope I hear from her again.

True I never got the conviction in a church, for 14 years! I got the conviction on the internet through true apostles and prophets, then and only then got the light to repent. THANK GOD FOR THE TRUE PROPHETS AND APOSTLES ON THE INTERNET!

This is a message the entire Church and every church needs to hear.
Clearly this young woman already has done SERIOUS preparation of her OWN heart in prayer and the Word and WAITING on the Holy Spirit's instruction and LEADING.
I'm sure her message could continue with this:
Now go out and DO this?
No, FIRST fall on your knees before the Father, get into His Word, and WAIT for Him to SEND you and GIVE you His words at the very moment you need them.
Our PREPARATION is prayer.

I believe the Word of Yahweh, from Genesis to Revelation, but do not consider myself a Christian or Jew, due to the tradition of men that causes mankind to reject the commandment of Yahweh. I am convicted of my own unrighteousness in hearing the words of this poet, Jackie Hill. She certainly has eyes to see and ears to hear! Praise Yahweh and His Son, Yahshua, for the Law that brings the shame leading to repentance upon my soul. HalleluYah!

Jackie Hill was speaking about Jesus, about how we need to get close to Jesus. To realize what Jesus did for all of us, she mentioned His stripes and what He came to earth to do - Jesus redeemed us. We need to get to know Him. It is easy to do. Ask Him into your life and then notice how you will hear more about Him as you walk through your life. You will start craving knowledge and wisdom about Him. Stay in community though. We need to know Him personally however, one of the blessings about being His child is that we have other brothers and sisters right here on earth with us that can encourage and equip us. We are the light of the world. His light.

I remember watching this when it came out on RUclips. I was a Christian then and fell deeply in love with it. Now I don’t mess with religion but this poem still applies and hit home.. I like to daydream as if I’m the one speaking it bc sis ate this poem up okay!!! Super talented

Eva I love what you said because in many fellowships , God's sovereignty is not taught, especially in the "prosperity" circles, it's a direct challenge to that false teaching but also helps us to understand things like suffering. Peace

This woman brought a tear to my eyes....When ppl ask me to attend their church, out of respect I do. But after the session is over, I always ask the preacher: Before we(African-Americans) were Forced to learn the religion taught by European slave owners, what was Our beliefs before We got here?......They don't know!

JUST BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE SCREAMING FROM THE PULPIT, DON'T MEAN THEY ARE TEACHING ABOUT JESUS AND RIGHTEOUS LIVING! Praise God for your boldness and obedience through Christ. I thank God for this confirmation because I am a pastor and have been trying to share this truth of the Gospel for quite some time, but was labeled a pulpit basher and trouble maker. God has lead me to the scriptures and has inspired me to publish a book called " 12 Never-mentioned Steps To Discipleship", that caused other pastors who read it to alienate me. But bless the Lord; a revival and reformation is here

I totally agree with you, we forget "Seek ye FIRST the Kingdom of God". A lot of us seek Him and want Him, but only half-heartedly. We must change our way of thinking to seek God FIRST, to make Him our first priority. Especially since He's a jealous God, cause to be honest, if someone had to seek and find me, I wouldn't want them to do a halfway kinda sorta job. If you care about me, look for me with all your heart! We have to think that when it comes to God, it's not fair how we treat Him.

The Black CHurch has a long standing tradition of being a place of emotional healing. Being able to come to a public place and to shout, cry out, stomp and have someone lay their hands on you and tell you 'its alright' has been tremendous part of the Black traditon regardless of how many gold rings or nice cars the preacher might possess. THe church has never focused on knowledge, which has usually been for the few. The masses simply want to exit 'feeling' better than they felt when they entered
