My uncle had a big farm in Missouri, and me and my cousin, would go with him and his son, from W,V, to his farm in Missouri, it took almost twenty hours to drive there. We would help with the work on the farm, like, bailing hay off the field, clearing pasture fields, and giving immunization shots to his 200 Black Angus cattle he raised. this was in the 80's and I was in my teens, it was hot and strenuous work, but we had a blast. My uncle died a few years back, cancer, he had to sell the farm when he got to sick to tend it. I still think of those times on his farm and him, fondly and smile. When this video was shot, I worked at a bank 2 blocks away. I couldn't take time off to go be an extra and dealing with the road closures and stuff at lunch sucked but we all thought it was still so cool that it was being shot here. I still like watching it and knowing exactly where different scenes were shot, even though the labdscape's changed

To the jerks who don’t care about the farmers who do so much for us!! Us farmers do everything for you guys, so when you come into the country you better act nice cause we are part the back bone of this country!
I always wanted to work on a farm but none are hiring around where I live
Amen brother!
I wake up every morning and this is the first song I hear! It reminds me of my hardworking dad that farmed as well as his lifelong masonry work!
I live in a big metro, 2500 miles from where I grew up. Yet, this reminds me of HOME! You should see the looks I get when I play it at the bus stop! Farms in Phoenix aren't anything like the Mid-west!
Remember, STAY BACK, STAY ALIVE! There's a reason why they are called slow-moving vehicles!

I’m not a country boy but this song is incredible
Got behind a HUGE tractor, so I grabbed my phone and got on RUclips and played this song. Wish the whole line of cars behind me could have heard it! Thanks for making that situation way more enjoyable!

This was my brother-in-law's favorite song. He passed away from covid back in August. Once I get all the parts down and arranged, I'll be doing drum cover of this song for him. Miss you Hoss!
🤍
Let us all know when the cover is done...I'm sure the UTUBE community will love to add the other parts to it! :)
I just discovered this song (January 2021), and I love it. My grandpa was a farmer here in Oklahoma.
This is what country music should be. I haven’t listened to new country songs in a long time. What else have I missed?
Morgan Wallen
Jason Aldean
Maybe Luke Bryan
@@zanek5288 His song about losing his son he performed on the KellyClarkson show - ruclips.net/video/iK6jnLxUvxA/видео.html , and Blake Shelton's stuff is good as well.

Turning 13 this year cant believe this song is 12 years old . GOD BLESS TRUE COUNTRY
Happy 11 birthday to this song
I really like C.M. not just the music but he is a USA veteran! I luv vets. My daddy, husband and son have all served in the army too. And 2 step sons.
Saw him last night at Whiskey Tangos in Grain Valley Missouri. He put on an amazing show!!!!
His next single I'm pretty sure is "I hate the taste of Whiskey" check it out. Sarah Beth Terry and Anthony Smith wrote it!
dad: "son of a..."
me: "third generation farmer"

We Have Farmers in Louisiana And Lot's of us Drive IH And listen To Your Music in 2021 and love it. So when Are You Coming To N.E. La.
I’ll admit I was one of those people that yelled at tractors while driving till it hit me how hard these people work. Apologies to those farmers I yelled at. Keep doing what you do ❤️
They help feed us. They are a small inconvenience in comparison to starvation ❤
Your apology is accepted ❤️ I'm the daughter of a second generation farmer myself so I do relate to this song a lot. Not the hay, but veggies

that is as fast as they can go and there is nothing they can do about it also most of the time they will pull over when they are able to that way people can go around them.
Some areas where I live at times I end up behind a tractor etc and I just slow down and wait until it is safe to go around them.
Just realized this video was filmed in my town.
1:31 literally 30 seconds from my house lol

I'm the son of a third generation farmer
I've been married 10 years to the farmer's daughter
I'm a God fearing hardworking combine driver
Hogging up the road on my p-p-p-p-plower
Chug-a-lug-a-lugin 5 miles an hour
On my International Harvester.
3 miles of cars laying on their horns
Falling on deaf ears of corn
Lined up behind me like a big parade
Late to work, road raged jerks
Shouting obscene words flippin me the bird
Well you maybe be on a state paved road
But that blacktop runs through my pay load
Excuse me for trying to do my job
But this year ain't been no bumper crop
If you don't like the way I'm a driving
Get back on the interstate
Otherwise sit tight and be nice
And quit your honking at me that way
Cause I'm the son of a 3rd generation farmer
I've been married 10 years to the farmer's daughter
I got 2 boys in the county 4-H
I'm a lifetime sponsor of the FFA

and I'm proud to say
I'm a God fearing hardworking combine driver
Hogging up the road on my p-p-p-p-plower
Chug-a-lug-a-lugin 5 miles an hour
On my International Harvester.
Well I know you got your own deadline
But cussing me won't save you no time Hoss
But this big wheel wide load ain't going any faster
So just smile and wave and tip your hat to the man up on the tractor
Cause I'm the son of a 3rd generation farmer

NO FARMERS NO FOOD..........
Yes
And semi trucks to haul.
Joe Knapp tell that to my back yard bruh
Joe Knapp True, but i've been gardening for 3 years in my back yard. Watermelons, Pumpkins, Corn things like that. But my backyard is not enough. So yeah generally no farmers no food, unless you have an 10 Acre back yard which in gardening and farming terms is nothing but enough for one home.
lemkelegion If all farmers were to be abducted by aliens I would quit going to work and turn my house into a garden suitable for my family. Overtime i would build surplus and trade with neighbors.. after even more time some talented people would grow food for money and just sell it to me, where I then would return back to my non-farming job. and we would be back to where we have people thinking the world owes them something for doing a job.
At 1:17 does anybody notice the general lee at the back of the car line.

I live in canton illinois. The town was built around the original international harvester manufacturing plant. The plant has long been closed and unfortunately burned down several years ago, but that work whistle still blows at 8, noon and 5. I play this song for my daughter and tell her that her family helped build the machines that helped build this country and she should be very proud of that. Not farmers but third generation union factory family.
