Project X starring in one of my favorite car movies The Hollywood Knights ( Driver: Tony Danza & Michelle Phifer in a mini-skirt ❤ 😊 ) Its good to see Project X back w/ a real engine and thank you for the video !
Thank YOU NZ dat sports!! I really appreciate it. Would you do me a favor? Gimme a like & subscribe to my RUclips channel if you haven't already. I'd appreciate it.
I actually was at summit that day delivering parts from there to my friends shop Atlanta Auto Restoration for those drivers that had breakdowns.....awesome cars and people.
So cool to see Project X back (EV🤮) I saw PX at Super Chevy Sunday at SIR in the early '90's and instantly loved it and who could forget Tony Danza driving it in Hollywood Knights...still have my well worn copy in VHS.😄Kinda missing the 210 trim though.
So glad they got rid of all the electric nonsense they did to project X. It was like a sin against hot rodding as a whole to do that to the car! I dont think anyone was for it, if thats your thing then thats your thing. But project X is a famous test bed for so many hot rod combinations so to make that car an EV was just horrible. Do that to any other car dont tarnish the legacy of this car
I'm glad it's back to an internal combustion engine too Matthew. But it was the fastest it's ever been with the electric motor. And there's an old saying "there's no such thing as bad publicity." I think that holds true here. what do you think?
@@jeffthisted i think that definitely holds water. But i think it would have been more successful and not have to be changed back if they chose something different. But definitely the publicity project X got from that deal most certainly got more eyes on it as many newer hot rodders probably never heard of the car. Im all for technological advances and upgrades but i fear the way the government is getting involved it will shut our passion down for good someday and i think thats why so many people, including myself had such a bad reaction to project X being converted to EV. Also there is the government push to ban I.C.E. cars for E.V.s i think factors in as well. People like us pour our whole self into our craft and if thats taken away that takes with it the opportunity to pass on our passion to the next generation and it would leave a void in some people who dedicate their lives to hot rodding as a whole. Once the infrastructure is there to support mainstream EVs of course its the next logical step unless there is some alternative fuel developed. Its like when we moved on from the horse and carriage to the first automobile. Its just logical. But when the powers that be start using the word "Ban" and then something like what they did to project X happens it brings a sense of over reach into some people including myself and thats why i think it got the response it did. Because it was THAT car. If it were any other car i dont think it wouldve been hated on such a level as it did. Sorry for the rambling, Long response. Lol but to answer your question again about bad publicity, it definitely holds water for the reason i said above and i think it got more people to discover what project X was all about. Thanks for the reply!
@@jeffthisted Is this hippy dude talking about the mis-matched wheels on Project X - which is a '57 - or the wheels on your 55??? Your '55 looks great with the Torq Thrusts on it. PX will eventually get a set of matching wheels. They probably just threw on whatever was handy - and would fit - after having to change the brakes
I remember when PHR bought this car I am so Happy to see it back on Gas. Stop fing with my child hood.
Pretty cool right Robert?!?

Good question@@TheManymotocros Lemme know if you find anything.
Beautiful 55 other than those god awful rims. Needs Crager's.
Pretty sweet right hippydippy?!?
They're skinnies up front.
Lighter & faster than Cragers.
