    Thanks for the shoutout brother! A while back someone else made a post for me on their channel but as far as I know this is the first time I’ve got mentioned in someone else’s video. Cool feeling and much appreciated. Funny it would be on this video too cuz just an hour before I put that same Asher in my pocket.
    Picture quality is great in your video. What type of camera do you use? Also the transitions when you did the size comparison to other knives were super smooth, you couldn’t even tell the clip was cut. It just looked like a new knife magically appeared. You were spot on with the scales looking like blue tarp. They look just like some tarp sitting out on the yard with glare from the sun hitting it

      @DarkWaterActual  Месяц назад

      I love my blue tarp knife😂! I’m just using my IPhone, and the app VideoShop. Thank you for the compliment, as I always feel like my videos are completely sub par compared to everyone else’s, so trying to save up for a camera, a desktop, and some good video editing stuff. What I really want to do is learn how to create an intro😂.

      @@DarkWaterActual of course I feel the same way. Trust me on dozens of occasions I’ve felt tell discouraged by what else is out there as well as how much is out there as far as knife content goes. I’d say just in the 1,000-10,000 sun range there are a minimum of a few hundred channels. Just search any random knife and click on all the different results. You could do it all day long and find channel after channel that you’ve never heard of but the majority of them are channels larger than yours or mine.
      I’ve been thinking the same lately when it comes to improving the quality of my videos. My knowledge on knives is very basic so it would be an uphill battle trying to have a channel similar to Neeves or Stassa where they have extensive experience sharpening all of these steels, how they perform under certain conditions, how knives have been improving over the years, best knives for such and such tasks, modifications, etc. Even tho I’ve just been scratching the surface, what I enjoy is creating good product shots. That’s something I can easily find more about on the internet and actually feel like I’m making a bit more progress with each video. Actually just earlier today I was looking for the basic essential equipment for shooting product videos. Not only the shot itself but I’m also starting to do some digging into learning some cool editing tricks to create more entertaining visuals. The app I use is called Splice, it’s the first one I tried and I’ve been using it ever since. Initally I thought it was as basic as could be but I realized later that some tools which I didn’t think much of actually have a lot of capabilities if you know how to use them. Yesterday(for my Kershaw Livewire video) was the first time I used the audio extraction feature. With that I was able to use music in the first portion of my video while I was showing different shots of the knife and then after let thr music fade as I transition into the talking part. You could also use this feature if you wanted to snag audio from movies, tv shows, etc. some good examples of that you can find on MiguelEDC’s channel. He does a nice job of using voiceovers creatively.
      If you use instagram follow Splice and watch some of their videos. They give you short tutorials on how to create some more advanced effects. I just started checking them out for the first time earlier today and has definitely helped with giving me some new ideas.
      Anyway thanks again for the shoutout, that was a super cool first experience. As it sounds like we kinda have similar areas where we’d like to improve if you want we can keep in touch and let the other know of any new ideas, ways to do things or just anything that helps improve the quality of content
