Jeah, but some things they do is unnecessary chatter - and i don't mean the random fun they have over coms - i mean the actual game related com. Could be shorter and faster. At least if you really try to imitate military radio. The only 2 things that matter are speed and precision of the communication.
Aspartem Well, they are trying to manage 30 or so people in a mil sim. You can't get around a chain of command and properly led squads. Of course they aren't taking it dead serious, they're having fun after all.

FYI, the Thermal Weapon Site (TWS) variants are functionally superior to the Nightstalker scope you're using on that M200. I have honestly always hated the reticle that the Nightstalker uses, and the false-color infrared is more than a little bit hard on the eyes. I personally prefer "white-hot" over false-color infrared any day of the week. Also, there's a mod (A3CN) that allows you to use different NVS modes on regular scopes like the Kahlia and LRPS, which is incredibly handy, if you ask me. With that mod allowed, you simply cannot beat the Kahlia or the MOS, which is my personal favourite for LMGs and DMRs. The low-side mag is low enough to go full-auto with, and the high-mag setting is good enough for the accuracy that most of the assault rifles and LMGs can achieve in Arma.

I personally became Head of medical team. preparations and teachings, had to write a whole guide lol. Arma 3 Milsim units are generally extremely heavily modded. Most have actual ranks and Roles that you can apply for including logistics and aviation, armored transport, Tank crew, infantry, lots of stuff. If you're interested in joining on just google "Arma 3 Milsim groups" OR look in the Arma 3 community hub and search "MilSim. Find the right level of seriousness for you and apply :P Groups always want more mature people!

I'm actively part of one right now, so I can accurately tell you that they usually consist of several different companies (separated for the purpose of role, such as Aviation, armor, engineer corps, mech infantry to light infantry, etc) made up of squads, which together form battalions and such. They use (usually) accurate, nearly up to date military terms and forms of communication, and use modern tactics used in modern times (this knowledge is brought usually by either current active duty or former soldiers), and people work and communicate together to roleplay what would probably happen in a real life scenario :D it's pretty cool and fascinating if you're into the milsim RP aspect of games :)
