great match. Kaci always looks so solid and seasoned. One of my favorite players to watch. And Shane is the best player in the world and proves it time and time again.
Interesting shot at 40:30 that many people are talking about in the comments. I believe the preponderance of the evidence favors the conclusion that Shane did not hit the cue ball with his cue after he took the shot. If you look at the video frame by frame, you can see that when the cue ball gets to the shaft of Shane's cue the shaft is in fact already above the cue ball. If he had hit the cue ball ball with his shaft the cue ball would have drastically slowed down and also changed direction immediately. It does neither. It does not slow down at all (physically impossible if he hit it with his cue given the position and movement of the cue) and does not curve until it is clearly past Shane's cue by at least a couple of rotations (again, physically impossible if the reason the cue ball curved was because he hit it with his cue). Shane put a touch of left English on the cue ball to get it over toward the 7, which takes effect after the cue ball passes his cue on its way up table. The sound you hear is the bridge hitting the side of the shaft of Shane's cue as he twists it (you can also clearly see him twisting the bridge into his shaft in the video). The referee was right there and would have known if Shane had hit the cue ball with the shaft or the tip of his cue, as would both Shane and Kaci. The camera angle (above the table so that you are looking down on the cue ball and the shaft of Shane's cue) makes it impossible to see any space between the shaft and the cue ball, even if there was space between them.

There was not a foul. I shot this about 20 times just to verify the angle and how it's created. I even purposefully fouled in order to see the ball's reaction and to check what you should see if there were a foul. It was not a foul. Other justifications are here: #1 does anyone think that a European tour player and ref would hesitate to call the foul? No. They would not. Sportsmanship favors the shooter in any case, but the shot was clear enough to dozens of spectators who were there. #2 sounds are weird on the high-speed review. Physics doesn't allow for the contact. #4 stop being salty. Your eyes, ears, and judgment are not better than all the players, refs, commentators, and audience that were present. Get over it.
That's one of those hard to call fouls. You're only hearing it with headphones on and microphones pointed directly to catch the sound of the balls. It also could've been his stick hitting the bridge too. Looking at it super slow the angle doesn't seem to change enough to suggest it hit the cue but I don't think the ref is corrupt or incompetent. Anyone could've made that mistake usually if a cue hits a ball when moving the bridge it's a ton more obvious.

In snooker, players call their own fouls if the ref doesn't see it. And the prize money is much greater than pool. I don't see why not calling them in a smaller game.
It's difficult to see if it was a foul, the cue curved but the question is if it was because it hit the tip of the cue, or due to spin. A shot like that requires inside spin which would cause the cue to curve ever so slightly. If I'm not mistaken, the opponent can ask for the shot to be challenged using replay, if that is the case, it's not only the refs fault but also the opponent's fault.
I really don't understand why the commentating is so delayed. You can even hear the delay when they break. I'm sure it wouldn't be that difficult to lineup the commentators sound with the original sound. I can tell that he was commentating this virtually, "live" from home. But you can always edit the sound before you post it to youtube. Would be pretty easy I would imagine. Just line up the sound of the break
Kaci didnt draw back for better position on that last 3 because he was a little nerous, hill hill with a chance for a victory of the great SVB, and it's a little tougher to draw back. So he figured he would be slick and just stop the ball..look what that got him.. Walk on home boy.
No need to be condescendent about it. Only someone with equal or superior skill has the right to...and lemme guess, youre not Jayson Shaw or SVB...my guess is you're american...
Where I am from there is an old cliche that sure is true in this match>>>>"Cream floats to the top." Shane showed his sportsmanship even when it seemed he was way behind. Kaci is a very steady player and as seen formidable, but I feel he was fortunate to get as close as he did.
He obviously fouled. SVB is just adding to his cheating reputation. I dont understand what kind of POS will pretend the ball trajectory didnt change by lots, its so clear just some stupid cretin would try to argue this
Every Pool player knows, if he does a foul shot... it is a shame, that shane did not say this to referee... fucking cheating player.... shame on you shane !!! He can learn to be fair like many of snooker players.
Why does Shane break with his playing cue sometimes? I'm only 25 minutes in, but I don't even see his break cue by his chair. I've noticed he does that on other occasions as well.
He’s been doing that since he was a kid. Racking the 9 on the spot is a very touchy break. Requires the perfect combination of spin and speed as well as where you hit the 1 ball and he just feels sometimes he can do that better with his playing cue. He seems to only do it when he playing a rotation game because he’s trying to do something specific with the 1.
Shane is breaking and shooting the same cue looks like a carbon fiber shaft I was wondering if that would begin to happen. The tip is my only concern for my self I'm sure his his sponsors don't mind putting $100 tip on like you every tournament but kind of tough for me to do right at this moment. Shane is taking it to the younger player now. Earl has had a big impact on Shane I can see alot of Earl in his play but Earl doesn't like the carbon shafts Earl doesn't like anything new lol. I'd love to see one last Moscone cup with Earl n Shane both on the team.
Shane has a strong, but controlled break that I don't think would cause too much mushrooming if he uses a medium tip. And even if it does, it should be only around $40 to replace.
@@musicislifeproductions3602 look at the ball changing direction when it hit the tip of the cue, also the sound, hear carefully. (sorry my bad english)

Shit happens plain and simple, I watched the “possible” foul a dozen times, aaannddd, it could have been the rest hitting the shaft that made the noise. Play enough pool and everything happens. ✌️, and to close to call, goes to the runner. Sportsmanship is what it should be about.

@@CynicalMiracal Or pay the ref. Lol jk. I honestly think if Shane hit that ball he would have gave it. Moving both the cue and the bridge there's a lot of bumping against two sticks if, I'm not saying it did, it touched it would be difficult to tell by player
@@CynicalMiracal I keep looking in slow motion and still no foul bud, sorry. top inside spin, its delayed because of the speed of the shot, english didn't take on the cloth until mid way down.
Thanks guys.
Great match SHANE, what a comeback, by far my favorite player he is amazing, what a touch he has, and so skilled at his craft.
Such a little chewt
Hey why don't you user another player to complain about
Where I am from there is an old cliche that sure is true in this match>>>>"Cream floats to the top." Shane showed his sportsmanship even when it seemed he was way behind. Kaci is a very steady player and as seen formidable, but I feel he was fortunate to get as close as he did.
He fouled in the 10th frame. Not good sportsmanship.
He was down tremendously, Kaci could have sealed it easy before that. But he did not
Damn!
Absolutely EPIC!!!
Great camera work!
Great match! Controversial shot with the bridge.. Still not clear if it was a foul :/
It was a foul. You can hear the sound. It was a snick.
@@observer991 Stop talking nonsense, Shane is great but he cheated here.
It probably was not a foul
He obviously fouled. SVB is just adding to his cheating reputation. I dont understand what kind of POS will pretend the ball trajectory didnt change by lots, its so clear just some stupid cretin would try to argue this
its crystal clear a foul
Every Pool player knows, if he does a foul shot... it is a shame, that shane did not say this to referee... fucking cheating player.... shame on you shane !!! He can learn to be fair like many of snooker players.
True that... if one commits a foul and the ref doesn't call it, any respectable and self-respecting pool player should point it out.
Like a phoenix from the ashes! Great commentary Alex!!!
I had to look that one up myself...not quite versed enough I suppose but I knew it sounded cool!
Foul at 40:30 and svb acts like nothing happened. He knows it's a foul and still proceeded, thats a shame!

Lol if i see a post of a match im always hiped and then i see its from 3 or 5 years ago. Would be nice to write it in the title
Wow, what a comeback
It felt like the commentator was five seconds behind the actual play. Nice match though.
First seven rack he had a delayed response to some shots... all good from rack 8... thanks for watching
Wow that foul... That referee... Corrupt

I like it more
Po paske qen nje deshtak i finaleve to📢
Another great game, thanks a lot. Is it me or the commentator called twice a top hit when Shane was drawing ?
Shane was soo unlucky to scratch after every good hit from being snookered
Wow great match! Pool can be like that sometimes! Next time Kachi. Congrats Shane!🙌
thanks for watching!
Billiard Network thank you! It’s such a pleasure! Keep up the good work.
the match was spoiled by that uncalled foul
The pig skin are $40 then getting it put on you will be close to $100 lol
do not put Shame the Cheat in the same sentence as Legendary Pearl
@@randoom2405 Shane and Earl lived together in New York, pro's at Steinways Billard club. So they shot often then and were/are good friends.
@@randoom2405 Yes Earl the Pearl his old Nick name he is 3 years younger then me.
Excellent comeback, great match.
Sean Cyco we have the greatest comeback today in the shaw melling match
@40:33 - 40:42 shane made a foul.
I doubt that
@@musicislifeproductions3602 look at the ball changing direction when it hit the tip of the cue, also the sound, hear carefully. (sorry my bad english)
@@musicislifeproductions3602 either stupid or malicious. I'd say both
1 minute shot clock would be better. Don't have to run to get a different que. hurry shots and miss. More time better shot selection. better pool.
Visually it was not a bad call. The clicks anyone heard could have come from lots, that's LOTS,
of moving surfaces. Good call, lots of bias, jealousy, & maybe some hate. In the end, SHANE WAS HEROIC TO DIG OUT A VICTORY IN THE MOST DIFFICULT SCENARIO IMAGINABLE.
KACI is a robot with a great future. Shane is an artistic, brave, champion. IMO.
Thanks for watching
cheat not champ

40:39 😂😂😂 foul
lol no
@@-YiY- lol yes
Wow Shane is something isn't he.
a cheat
He is amazing
@@useranother667 he is deaf but not a cheat SVB is top in the world at many games of pocket billard's you don't do that by cheating sounds like a hater not a player comment to me.
@@gino2033 Hes def a cheat. he didn't have to hear it, he felt the touch in his cue, it's impossible to not feel
@@gino2033 absolutely, total hater. I suppose a troll
40:50 it was a faul. 😕
dont even need the sound, the ball immensily and instantly changed trajectory and slightly slowed when it touched the cut tip. Shane the CHEAT obviously felt the touch on the hand holding the cue.
Shit happens plain and simple, I watched the “possible” foul a dozen times, aaannddd, it could have been the rest hitting the shaft that made the noise. Play enough pool and everything happens. ✌️, and to close to call, goes to the runner. Sportsmanship is what it should be about.
fu cheater
Well said. Personally I do believe it was a foul but I also agree word for word with every thing you just said. I think Kaci definitely showed great class and sportsmanship especially if he was thinking that was a foul.
Great video and commentator :-)
Alex Lely yup he’s good
40:40 was definitely a foul, that is why we call nine ball the game for thieves!!
we don't call it that....
It was an obv foul, especially after replay audio at real time. Me being a Shane fan, surprised as hell he didn't call it himself! Lil shame Shane there :/
Never heard it called that in all of my 30 years of playing
Like both of players, from viet nam with love!!!
no love shame the cheat

Is Shane breaking and shooting the same cue stick?
yeah, sometimes he did that
@@mtalam7988 not that I've seen he is shooting a carbon fiber shaft I see I been wondering with the zero deflection how long untill players would start doing this.
At 1:05:22, that look signifies the sinking feeling of pissing away a 5-0 lead. OUCH.
the foul tho
Exactly he could have sealed the deal regardless of what you think correct or not. Or maybe with all your knowledge and top notch play, you can attempt to play at that level and see how you do. After all you and a few others have quite a bit to say
he played against 2
Good announcing.
Well deserved win for Shane! Way to stay in there and come back from a huge deficit.
For those that think Kaci was cheated, he only cheated himself by not finishing it.
Lol, good one, I'll remember that next time someone moves the cueball in my game, "Well, I should have finished it!" Looooooooooool 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@CynicalMiracal
Or pay the ref. Lol jk.
I honestly think if Shane hit that ball he would have gave it. Moving both the cue and the bridge there's a lot of bumping against two sticks if, I'm not saying it did, it touched it would be difficult to tell by player
@@CynicalMiracal
But yes dont depend on nobody but yourself to win a match.
@@CynicalMiracal I keep looking in slow motion and still no foul bud, sorry. top inside spin, its delayed because of the speed of the shot, english didn't take on the cloth until mid way down. Go experiment with the shot and you'll find similar results. Just look where his cue would have hit ,if it did, it would slow the cue ball down some and actually throw it to the left side. Cueball always want to follow its tangent line until the spin actually gets that friction. exactly what happened here
Well deserved cheat
Eklent is one of the best Pool Player for me .. but a litle bit to slow..
still would win if not for the Cheat
