Hey Pallytime, First of fall, thanks for your videos, really enjoying the kind of freestyle commentary youre doing! Quick question regarding Weapon Enchants in Classic Era for Sword'n'Board AoE Paladin (cant find resources in your vids about it, or im just dumb 😅) I was maybe thinking about enchanting my Longsword with Lifesteal or Crusader instead of fiery weapon. Would be cool if you could give me some input regarding this :) Have a nice day!
Blazing is best for AoE... its a quest reward in badlands I think. The Proc is AoE fire Damage. But you get 1 per char so best to put it on an Edward the odd. Other then there is is no good wep chant for AoE Farming. Infact you dont' really want one. Un-changed Knightly is often BiS Why? Well you kinda don't want the mob you are mana leaching off of to die to quickly. Even an Edward with lifesteal can kill a mob SUPER fast... which is your next best and cheapest option. Strange huh? Unchanged Flurry axe good too. Best thing to do is carry around a number of 1 handers. I have Flurry Axe (Life Steal)... Edward (Life Steal)... and Manslayer (Life Steal)... Ebon Hand (Life Steal) Manslayer is good for Large packs of mobs where 1 target is a chad elite or mini boss. Lots of Reckoning charges with the 100% life steal kills and heals better then edward under those conditions. Flurry Axe is highest single target DPS Edward is most well Rounded. Ebon is PvP and fire Resist situational.
@@curse6d Not Really. Put Life Steal on the Flurry and keep the Longsword unchanted. So you use the Longsword for AoE farms where you REALLY don't want to kill mobs to fast. In these cases mobs are like 50 or 40 to your level 60 Flurry axe vs = level mobs is never an issue. Basically you want the target mob to live about 30-35s. If it does then the next one will live about 20s... and then its over.
@@pallytime2156 Im currently lvl 38, do you think mighty intellect or spell power enchant on flurry axe/longsword would be worth considering while leveling? made a classic gear list aswell with whats available on my ah (not much lol) should i consider buying a truesilver breastplate and a savior ring (epic ring with stam+spirit and armor on use)
@@curse6d Lifesteal is the way while leveling. The enchant does similar damage to Crusader and heals more. With SoR it x2 procs. Its good even on 2 handers because its PPM... Cheap too usually. Easily my dream chant for leveling. Put it on everything. You will even have fights where you surive with 3% life... and you become ware that you are alive only because of life steal chant choise.
very offtopic but starting sod did not do any phases before, what some current lvling tips/changes from vanilla for pala, runes to get asap, i prefer 1handed shield style thanks for any info
I am hearing "I am leveling a Paladin in SoD... what do?" Before Holy Shock... so level 40... = go 2 hander FAST 2 hander with Seal of M. She is 50% holy damage at 3.3s speeds... but if you have a 2.0 speed wep she does like 87% per hit... which is like 150% more damage. Polarms are good for this... lots of cheap 2.0 speed ones on AH. At level 40 you get holy shock. Then you want the fastest 1 hander you can find for mana regen. Judge wisdom and use SoM with Infinate mana rune on Boots. Its a really good build for poorly geared dins leveling.
Testing shows the wolves do maybe 100 DPS between the 2 of them. They hit for 60 and crit for 120 vs plate male, no shield. Heal shaman for damage done. Only Deep Ret Finds them annoying... Put them in front of you for Parry Haste and enjoy the +healing from Divine storm is about all you can do. Wolving on a Rek Paladin causes the shaman to get hacked to pieces or bombed out of existance about 20s after. Hance is thicker in HP... having +30% and x2 shocks. But they have mana issues that can be exploited by Holy Shock paladin. Holy Shock just heals with Consecration and Holy Shock while chilling waiting for wolves to end before going offensive. Holy Shock when used to heal is VERY mana efficient... and you get toss of mana being in melee soo... The Matchup Hance vs Paladin is a bit 1 sided IF the Paladin has any semblance of a mana bar to fall back on basically. Just engage them in a mana war before going offensive later when they start having mana issues. Hance Shaman DPS is REALLY scary on the opener so you really want to HEAL through it for the first 12s or so. 4 Shocks in the first 5s... Storm Strikes... weapons cocked and locked Maelstrom cast... Treat them like they have a Reck Bomb on the opener and they get REAL easy to deal with.
There is NO WAY nades get broken by DoTs unless blizzard TRUELY messed something up in Classic lol. That being said... I suddenly realize that I have never tested such a thing... so I probably should.

nade gets broken by dots, thats why we dont use them on our lvb targets
