The 6th EDDYS ||

"Inside Showbiz with Aster Amoyo" recently graced the 6th Entertainment Editors Choice Awards (EDDYS) at the Aliw Theater. Directed by Eric Quizon, it proved to be a star-studded affair. Tapped to host the event were Piolo Pascual and Iza Calzado who did an amazing job. Pops Fernandez, Darren Espanto, Erik Santos and Calista provided musical numbers to the delight of the audience. "Blue Room" and Family Matters" bagged the Best Film Award while Nuel Crisostomo Naval was named Best Director. Max Eigenmann ("12 Weeks") and Janine Gutierrez ("Bakit 'Di Mo Sabihin") tied for Best Actress while Elijah Canlas romped off with the Best Actor plum for "Blue Room." Nikki Valdez ("Family Matters") and Mon Confiado ("Nanahimik ang Gabi") capped the Best Supporting Actress and Best Sipporting Actor trophies, respectively. The Icon Awardees for this year were Aga Muhlach (represented by son Andres), Nino Muhlach and Snooky Serna while Coco Martin, Herbert Bautista and Piolo Pascual received the Isah V. Red Award. Viva Films was named "Producer of the Year" while MavX Production got the nod as "Rising Producer of the Year." Popular entertainment columnist, former television and radio host and content creator Aster Amoyo was also one of the night's big winners as she was conferred with the Joe Quirino Award for her valuable contributions to the 'biz. Indeed, it was one unforgettable occasion. The EDDYS did it again. Congratulations to all the winners and award recipients!
