Here is my thought process behind how to pose people for portraits, more specifically how to pose couples. Even those these are bride and groom photo ideas and bride and groom photos, the same concepts will apply to any photography posing. Think of these pose ideas as a bride and groom posing guide for couple photography but the speed posing way.
These posing tips are the same and I use them for portrait sessions, bride and groom portraits at a wedding, engagement shoots and pretty much anytime I'm showing my client how to pose for pictures. This video is specifically for how to pose for couple photography but take the FREE Speed Posing Class above for more on how you can relate it to posing women, posing men, posing groups, and family photos. This may be how to pose for wedding photos but these posing concepts will help you pose with confidence.

Hey Vanessa thank you for this session, this short intro is a very fine complement on other portrait photography training session, what is interesting with your approach is he fact that you give a lot of attention to the facial expression of your subjects which is for me a welcome complement , this obliges you to work much closer than if were just posing couples. What makes your sessions complete is your natural joyful enthusiast way of sharing your professional talents. By the way just a note for feeling a biting cold ( I noticed you know your way through in French: " Un froid de canard") as sail yacht yachtsmen we would only comment "At least we are feeling we are alive". See you /hear you on one of your channels.

Just when I was getting really nostalgic for those cute narrow-frame, smartphone-shot videos by Vanessa, just when even my cat told me while patting me on my cheek with its paw: "There, there, don't be so miserable, she'll return. Stop drinking vodka and waste yourself away!"...here she is, thanks God! She even inserted proper frames into this video, using, no doubt, some proper software, sparing us thus of necessity of downloading this clip and zooming in and in into her Canon back screen...Oh, Vanessa! Life would never be the same if you didn't bring us to our senses, senses previously dulled with all the decadence of wide-screen visual extravaganza. Right on!

Hey Vanessa Joy!! ...nobody teaches this and it's soooo frustrating to me. I know my way around a camera pretty well, but some of these more technical types of tricks and effects are things I still have yet to conquer and really figure out. THANK YOU soooo much for doing this for us!! I would sure give the world for you to also do a couple of videos teaching us how to photograph sparkler exits, light trails with wedding reception dance photos, how to photograph those cigar smoke photos of the guys on wedding day, and how to get that hair spray shot when the bride is getting ready. I'd also love to learn how to do some of those trick photos that so many of you do on wedding days - the reflection, shooting through things, bokeh lights, ring shots with an extra fun flair, etc. A super fun photographer that does a lot of this stuff is Jason Martin with Concept Photography. This guy has some super cool photography tricks and effects and I still have yet to figure out how he does a lot of them.

I'm sorry indeed if it sounded rude! The "luck" I'm talking about is because many people who are starting in this job and are watching this nice tutorials (some people even for the entirety of their career) haven't got the chance to have a skilled second pair of hands to help. "Luck" doesn't mean not deserved neither that you're doing wrong!
